It contributes directly to software design and development while raising standards for engineering quality, testing, documentation, maintainability, architecture, and delivery. Through mentoring, code reviews, technical guidance, standards, and modern engineering practices, the Lead Software Engineer strengthens capability across internal teams and external delivery partners.\n In this role, you will:\nLead the design and development of enterprise software solutions, integrations, and manufacturing applications.\n\nContribute directly to implementation, troubleshooting, and delivery as a senior hands-on engineer.\n\nEstablish and promote software engineering standards, development practices, documentation, and quality expectations.\n\nMentor developers and raise technical capability through demonstration, feedback, knowledge sharing, and code reviews.\n\nReview architecture, technical designs, implementations, and delivery approaches for quality and consistency.\n\nChampion modern engineering practices, including responsible AI-assisted and agentic development.\n\nPartner with business, manufacturing, infrastructure, and technology teams to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.\n\nImprove observability, supportability, reuse, and technical health while reducing defects, rework, and technical debt.\n\nAlso note:\nSoftware quality and consistency improve across the enterprise portfolio.\n\nEngineering standards, documentation, testing, and code review expectations become consistently applied.\n\nDevelopers and delivery partners become more capable, accountable, and effective.\n\nApplications become easier to maintain, support, reuse, and evolve.\n\nModern engineering and AI-assisted development practices improve delivery without compromising quality.\n\nContinue to improve adoption of security best practices.\n\nPractical manufacturing experience is required.\n\n You have:\nAssociate’s degree or 10+ years of progressive software development experience, including technical leadership across complex enterprise solutions.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with modern application architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, cloud technologies, testing, and secure development practices.\n\nDemonstrated experience mentoring developers and establishing or improving engineering standards, documentation, code review, and quality practices.\n\nRequired manufacturing experience, gained through direct operations or substantial consulting, systems integration, contract, or software-provider work, with a strong understanding of production environments and industrial reliability, safety, and continuity requirements. Experience with OT, MES, industrial automation, ERP, supply chain, or other plant-connected systems is preferred.\n\nExperience working with distributed, offshore, or external development teams is preferred.\n\nExperience with AI-assisted development, engineering automation, or agentic delivery practices is required.\n\nStrong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder leadership skills.\n\nRelevant education, training, and experience considered.\n\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
