We’re looking for a Sr Staff Developer to be part of making this happen.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Sr Staff Developer, you’ll take a leadership role in designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services that power our cybersecurity solutions. You'll mentor junior developers, drive architectural decisions, and work closely with front-end engineers, security teams, and DevOps to create robust and efficient systems.\nWhat You’ll Do\nArchitect, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services.\n\nDesign and implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and micro-services to support frontend applications.\n\nOptimise system performance, security, and reliability for large-scale cloud applications.\n\nCollaborate with front-end developers, security teams, and DevOps engineers to drive backend innovation.\n\nWork with databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.\n\nImplement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices.\n\nGuide and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.\n\nContinuously improve development processes and promote backend best practices.\n\nWork with React/Typescript to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components.\n\nWhat You Bring\n12+ years of experience in backend development, with exposure to full-stack development.\n\nExpertise in any of the programming languages such as Go, Python, Java and experience inDataBricks\n\nStrong knowledge of RESTful APIs, and micro-services architecture.\n\nExperience with databases (such as PostgreSQL).\n\nProficiency in asynchronous programming, multithreading, and performance optimisation.\n\nFamiliarity with message queues (such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS).\n\nStrong understanding of security best practices, authentication, and authorisation mechanisms.\n\nProficiency in AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and ECS.\n\nFamiliarity with AI native tools (such as lang chain, lang fuse) and experience in development lifecycle with AI-DLC\n\nBonus Points for\nExperience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS) and cloud-native architectures.\n\nExperience with AWS services or AZURE services.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).\n\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity products like XDR, MDR, SOC\n\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, MITRE\n\nStrong experience with Git for version control.\n\nInterest in cybersecurity and security operations.\n\nAbout the Company\nAt Arctic Wolf, we foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that thrives on diversity of thought, background, and culture.
