We’re looking for a Senior Staff Developer to be part of making this/that happen.\nPosition Overview and Objective\nThe Senior Staff Developer will contribute to our Aurora Endpoint Security cloud platform, by leading initiatives to modernize & scale the platform.\nResponsibilities\nArchitect, design, and deliver highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native applications powering mission-critical business capabilities.\nOwn architecture decisions across applications and infrastructure.\nLead large-scale modernization initiatives, transforming monolithic systems into cloud-native, containerized, and service-oriented architectures.\nEstablish engineering standards, reference architectures, and best practices that improve quality, maintainability, and operational excellence.\nDrive system reliability through observability solutions, including metrics, logging, tracing, capacity planning, SRE practices, and proactive monitoring.\nDefine and implement secure-by-design architectures, incorporating identity management, encryption, secrets management, threat modeling, compliance controls, and zero-trust principles.\nPartner closely with product leaders, architects, engineering managers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.\nLead critical production incident reviews, root-cause analysis, resiliency improvements, and operational readiness programs.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovations that improve scalability, productivity, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.\nExperience & Requirements\n13+ years of software engineering experience, with significant experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments.\nOutstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging equally with engineers, architects, executives, and business leaders.\nSignificant hands-on experience designing and developing microservices using Java/Go/.Net, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native platforms.\nExpert-level knowledge of AWS services, including compute, networking, Caching, storage, messaging, container orchestration, observability, and security services.\nAdvanced knowledge of databases, particularly SQL Server, DynamoDB and PostgreSQL, including high-availability architectures, performance tuning, query optimization, partitioning, and replication strategies.\nProven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, along with CI/CD automation, GitOps workflows, and platform engineering best practices.\nDeep understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency models, concurrency, caching, and asynchronous processing using Kafka.\nGood frontend engineering experience using React.\nOn-Camera Policy\nTo support a fair, transparent, and engaging interview experience, candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during all video interviews.
