This role serves as a critical link between Operations, Engineering, Compliance and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and in compliance with regulatory and Company standards.\nIdeal candidates will bring a strong technical background, exceptional project management abilities and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.\nEssential Functions & Requirements:\nPrioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices\nAssists in the development of best practices in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving all types of processes or production issues \nApplies identified and developed best practices to other facilities or service centers, with goals towards standardization, cost savings, uptime improvement and a preventative maintenance approach\nProvides project management support on multiple projects, including RCRA compliance projects & continuous improvement initiatives \nOversees contractor groups to ensure that work is done safely, within project scope and budget, and accomplishes project objectives \nIntegrates capital project work into operations scheduling to efficiently complete project work with minimal impact to facility operations \nPrepares reports documenting project activities to satisfy regulatory requirements\nAssists with the automation of current processes to control costs, drive consistency and meet demand \nParticipates in technical problem-solving for customers and suppliers as circumstances require\nDevelops project scopes, schedules, budgets, work plans and resource requirements\nPartners with the Purchasing function to ensure the global supply chain accommodates project schedules and budgets\nIncorporates data analysis and problem-solving through Lean manufacturing methodologies, DMAIC, Value Stream Maps, 5-Why, Ishikawa diagrams, FMEAs and/or Kaizen to investigate issues and performance drivers to establish robust action plans\nParticipates in site assessments, field investigations, remediation activities, emergency response and related operations to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety requirements \nProvides engineering expertise in the areas of prints, product specifications, equipment maintenance, automation, operational excellence and purchases throughout the organization \nCoordinates with members of the management team and keeps them informed of project status and performance versus budget and schedule \nEnsures projects are managed across multiple locations within the organization\nMaintains the ability to travel as required, up to 30% of the time\nTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization\nEducation\n- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required); mechanical specialization (preferred)Experience\n5+ years of experience in engineering, capital project management, production and maintenance (required) \n3+ years of experience utilizing reliability, Lean/Six Sigma, productivity or continuous improvement principles (preferred) \nOverview\nAbout Arcwood\nEvery advancement-from the products we use to the medicines and technologies we depend on-creates waste that must be handled responsibly.
