This role provides compliance information, compliance management, and regulatory interpretation to TSDs, service centers and leadership.\nPrioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times\nServes as the corporate resource regarding environmental matters, including advanced problem-solving \nSecures and maintains environmental programs and permits; performs and monitors environmental audits and / or acknowledges and applies regulatory information as needed \nDetermines the impact of proposed and final industry-related regulations on activities of the various Company business units including field activities and treatment facilities at customer locations; establishes impact, provides guidance, and monitors performance regarding permit conditions, company policies and corporate objectives on Company operations \nPartners with frontline leadership to develop environmental compliance strategies, programs, and systems in response to regulatory developments, including enforcement\nAssists Arcwood personnel with the evaluation of regulatory, compliance, and technical issues; helps establish technical standards and provides training or coordinates corporate training initiatives\nAssists with the identification of business opportunities associated with changing environmental regulations; makes recommendations for necessary action requiring Arcwood services and assists with determining environmental regulatory frameworks of new business ventures, assisting with sales and technical evaluations \nKeeps apprised of regulatory developments at the State and Federal level, maintaining manageable relationships with State and Federal regulatory development, compliance inspection and permit writing personnel as appropriate\nWorks with customers to provide guidance and direction relative to environmental issues as needed\nProvides direction to internal and external consultants to ensure they are working within Arcwood policy frameworks and objectives\nManages the Arcwood-approved Third-Party Facility program, including review, auditing, and approval or denial\nManages corporate quality initiatives and demonstrates a focus within specific environmental disciplines as needed \nOversees and facilitates various corporate compliance related programs and initiatives including but not limited to RCRA, CWA, CAA, DOT, TSCA, SOSPE, MMS compliance, regulatory research, waste and system analysis and reporting, etc. \nInterviews, trains, and provides mentorship to Program Manager I and II positions, other Arcwood employees and consultants as needed \nTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization\nEducation\n- Bachelor’s degree (required); science or engineering discipline (preferred) - Relevant professional certifications (preferred)Experience\n8+ years of diverse experience in regulatory environmental compliance managing multiple environmental programs (required)\nPrevious experience with treatment, storage and disposal facilities (preferred)\nOverview\nAbout Arcwood\nEvery advancement-from the products we use to the medicines and technologies we depend on-creates waste that must be handled responsibly.
