In this role, you will support the research and development of the next generation of atomic gyroscopes - from concept and simulation through to lab experimentation and system optimization.\nTasks\nConceive, design, and set up complex atomic gyroscope experiments at both system and sub-system level\nOperate and automate lab experiments using Python\nDevelop and refine system models for atomic gyroscopes, and optimize performance based on simulations and experimental data\nTake ownership of cross-domain interfaces (electro-optical, thermo-mechanical, software)\nContribute to hardware development of the physics module, including electro-optical systems for light generation, control, and detection\nContribute to system engineering efforts and coordinate internal development of next-generation sub-systems\nContribute to Arda Atomics' intellectual property portfolio\nRequirements\nRequired:\nPhD or equivalent experience in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline\nWorking experience in an optical laboratory environment\nExperience in atomic physics, NMR physics, optical magnetometry, quantum sensor development, or related areas\nGeneral programming skills and experience in Python and willingness to grow in this area\nExperience with quantum mechanical simulations\nStrong spoken and written English skills\nAbility to work independently within an agile, collaborative team\nBeneficial:\nExperience in electrical engineering\nExperience in laser engineering and laser locking techniques\nFamiliarity with COMSOL Multiphysics simulations\nExperience with FPGA development and signal processing\nExperience with C/C++ or other compiled programming language\nExperience with designing of magnetic field control systems\nExperience in electronics hardware design, and integration\nBenefits\nArda Atomics is a Stuttgart based quantum sensing company.
