{"id":2639558,"url":"https://alion.io/job/ardagh-group-quality-control-inspector-12","title":"Quality Control Inspector 12","company":{"id":1784323,"name":"Ardagh Group","domain":"ardaghgroup.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/ardaghgroup","size_band":"5000+","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"SuccessFactors","truth_index":null},"role":"Industrial Engineering","role_family":"Industrial Engineering","seniority":"junior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Bishopville, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":60000,"max_usd":108000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":4038},"experience_years_min":1,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-13T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-13","last_verified_at":"2026-10-22T23:57:09Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":10,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":10},"description":"The QC Inspector is responsible for performing types of inspection as assigned within the plant including gauge and instrument inspection of materials goods in process and finished product.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nUnderstands and complies with position related safety, SOPs, and work instructions especially for Lockout-Tagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, ISO, and Personal Protective Equipment.\nMonitors the production process at prescribed intervals to inspect the process product characteristics according to established quality control procedures. \nInspect in-process and finished product with the use of prescribed laboratory equipment, gauges, and instruments and compares the results to the established specifications. \nExpected to read and record various process data into prescribed forms or charts. \nVerify through inspection and tests, the adherence to established specification of incoming materials, in-process product, and finished product including packaging.\nGenerate action which will prevent the use of materials in the process that do not meet and conform to established specifications or have not been approved for usage. \nVerify that only approved materials, labels etc. are used in the process. \nExpected to inform maintainers and supervisors of specific quality problems and suggest possible causes or facts which will aid in their corrections and assist production personnel whenever possible.\nPerform routine checks and maintain test equipment through preventive maintenance programs prescribed by the Quality Control dept. \nMaintain work area clean and orderly.\nDirect and assist in sorting segregated and questionable material that is out of specifications and perform detailed visual inspection where considerable judgment is required to determine quality of product and limits are not clearly defined.\nExamine product, remove defectives, and place acceptable product back into line.\nRecord related data as required.\nMaintain color standards and prepare run standards.\nPerform gauge maintenance, gauge verifications, gauge R and R.\nValidate printer changeovers and label changes.\nEnsure standards are in place and can meets requirements.\nValidate date codes and UPC.\nPerform camera and light tester verification, including making test cans and finding HFI cutoffs.\nPerform resampling and product segregation. Perform additional quality checks as required or directed and internal audits of quality checks.\nOperate equipment and assist production as directed.\nKNOWLEDGE /SKILLS / EXPERIENCE\nFamiliar with Personal Protective Equipment, hand tools, and proper handling of chemicals and solvent. \nAbility to use and understand gauges and measurement tools. \nExperience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred minimum 1+ years’ experience in a quality role. \nBasic computer skills, detailed oriented. \nKEY JOB COMPETENCIES/PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nAble to work 12 hour/4 day week rotating shift.\nSuccessfully complete pre-employment drug test and background check.\nAble to stand for a long duration of time.\nAble to bend over and rotate body repeatedly.\nAble to lift 40 pounds; push/pull up to 75 pounds.\nExposure to heat, cold, vibrations, odors/fumes and loud noise.\nREQUIREMENTS\nHigh School diploma or GED.\nA passing score on a combined basic skills assessment, given at the facility.\nAbout Ardagh Metal Packaging\nArdagh Metal Packaging (AMP) is a leading supplier of sustainable, infinitely recyclable metal beverage cans to brand owners globally.
