Since forming in 2017, we’ve grown from 100 employees to more than 2,600 across more than 120 offices nationwide.\nPrimary Function\nThe Project Billing Specialist plays a key role in the financial operations of the company by managing client billing, tracking accounts receivable, supporting collections efforts, and assisting in project financial setup and maintenance. This position collaborates closely with Project Managers, the Project Finance team, and Accounts Payable and Receivable teams to ensure timely and accurate billing, proper coding of subcontractor invoices, and effective cash receipt processing.\nJob Duties & Responsibilities:\nPrepare and submit client invoices in accordance with contract terms, billing schedules, and project requirements.\nEnsure accurate billing of labor, expenses, subcontractors, and contract modifications.\nMaintain billing records, client remittance information, and supporting documentation.\nSubmit invoices through client billing portals and resolve invoicing issues as needed.\nMonitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collection efforts on outstanding balances.\nPartner with Project Managers and clients to address billing questions, payment issues, and invoice discrepancies.\nTrack unbilled receivables and support timely revenue capture.\nAssist with project setup by entering contract terms, billing structures, rate tables, and revenue methods.\nSupport new client and project onboarding activities within the accounting system.\nReceive, code, and route subcontractor and subconsultant invoices for approval and payment processing.\nVerify subcontractor invoices align with project budgets and contractual requirements.\nAssist with cash receipt coding, payment application, and reconciliation of billing discrepancies.\nProvide project financial support, reporting, and billing analysis to Project Managers and internal stakeholders.\nSupport project closeout activities, including final invoicing and accounts receivable reconciliation.\nAssist with audits, compliance reviews, and other accounting or administrative projects as assigned.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nMinimum Experience - High School Diploma and 2+ years’ experience in project accounting with a primary focus on project billings. OR Bachelor’s degree and 0+ years’ experience.\nStrong initiative, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication skills, possessing the ability to work with employees throughout the organization, vendors, and clients, while building long-distance positive relationships across offices.\nCapability to work independently.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.\nAvailability for occasional travel as needed between offices.\nPreferred Skills and Qualifications:\nDemonstrated experience in engineering, construction, or professional services industry.\nFamiliarity with accounting software, Deltek Ajera, Vision and Vantagepoint a plus.\nExperience in a quick-paced, high-volume environment.\nAbility to collaborate with other team members to achieve high quality work products.\nWhy Ardurra?\nWhile Ardurra offers competitive compensation and rich benefits programs, it is our culture that truly sets us apart from our peers.
