Projects will include but are not limited to minor and major/complex roadways and multimodal facilities and will offer the opportunity to mentor and guide junior staff and be mentored by some of the top local experts in the transportation industry.\nPrimary Function:\nThis is an opportunity to play an important role in delivering a variety of transportation-related design projects, developing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for construction. This role will support the entire project design delivery process and will be responsible for leading engineering design tasks pertaining to roadway geometric design, production of plans, and writing of technical reports and documents.\nPrimary Duties:\nPerforms process design of multi-discipline transportation engineering projects, including evaluating alternatives, conducting engineering studies and design calculations, and performing preliminary and detailed design\nProvide technical expertise to ensure compliance with design intent, project scope, and state and federal design criteria and standards\nDevelops contract plans and prepares technical specifications and cost estimates\nAssists with project execution and delivery including development of project scope, budget, and schedule\nResponsible for the day-to-day activities and coordination of engineers, designers, and technicians as assigned to a specific project\nPerform quality control on engineering work products including design calculations, models, drawings, reports, specifications, and estimates\nAssist with marketing and business development efforts\nEffectively communicate/coordinate with internal and external partners/stakeholders including clients, discipline leads, sub consultants, regulatory agencies, and utility companies\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or related field\nAbility to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license\n4-8 years of engineering experience in transportation/roadway design\nProficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer with the ability to train and supervise the technical work of engineers, designers, and technicians\nProficient in MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)\nExperience preparing final design plans, specifications, and estimates\nStrong verbal communication and technical writing skills\nStrong analytical problem-solving, time management and organizational skills\nWhy Ardurra?\nWhile Ardurra offers competitive compensation and rich benefits programs, it is our culture that truly sets us apart from our peers.
