If you're curious about how things work, enjoy finding problems before users do, and want to grow your QA skills while working with modern technology - then Arena is the company you're looking for.\nAbout the Role:\nWe’re looking for a QA Engineer who’s passionate about technology, curious about how things work, and committed to delivering high-quality products.\nYou’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering to test web applications, APIs, and AI-powered experiences across Arena and MyAvatar.AI. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your QA skills across both manual and automated testing while working with modern AI products and a fast-moving engineering team.\nWhat you will be doing:\nCollaborate with product and engineering to understand requirements and define test strategies.\nWrite and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs.\nRun exploratory and regression tests for new features and releases.\nHelp monitor issues in production and identify patterns for improvement.\nContribute to maintaining and expanding our automated test suite using Cypress and Jest.\nThe challenges:\nReal-time messaging to support 100,000 concurrent users per customer application;\nHigh performance: our API responses are in the 10ms range;\nHigh scalability: we use sharding, master-master, and master-slave to ensure scalability;\nHigh availability: our code is running on homepages of the most visited websites and apps in the internet;\nDistributed databases for our Data Platform storing every user engagement.\nMust-Have Experience:\nSome experience (6-18 months) in QA or testing software\nFamiliarity with tools like Cypress, Jest, or Selenium.\nBasic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.\nUnderstanding of REST APIs and how to test them.\nEnthusiasm to learn, ask questions, and work in a collaborative environment.\nAdvanced English (spoken and written).\nNice-to-Have Experience:\nExperience with HTML/CSS and browser dev tools.\nExposure to mobile testing (iOS or Android).\nUnderstanding of how CI/CD and deployment pipelines work.\nCuriosity about how distributed systems scale.\nExample Projects You’ll Be Working on:\nBuild automated test suites and test cases for web apps, mobile apps, and APIs;\nBuild early warning systems that detect production environment errors;\nCertify production releases;\nManual testing, where necessary -
