You will integrate\ntime-series measurements, including radar and OPIR data, from real-time\nstreams, application databases, and systems with varying extraction\ncapabilities. You will collaborate with senior technical staff and the\nML team to characterize available data, establish reliable pipelines,\nand deliver cleaned, standardized datasets. You will help select\ntechnologies and develop an architecture based on measured workloads,\napplication needs, and operational requirements. Our development\nenvironment is primarily Python, with AWS as the preferred cloud\nplatform.\nIn this role, you will:\n-Understand our data sources. Investigate available interfaces, message\nformats, historical coverage, data volumes, arrival rates, and quality\nlimitations. Document findings to guide implementation and capacity planning.\n-Build ingestion pipelines. Develop maintainable workflows for streaming\nand historical data across databases, APIs, files, and application-specific interfaces.\nImplement configurable filtering to capture the messages and measurements needed\ndownstream.\n-Shape the data architecture. Evaluate processing, storage, and access\noptions against representative workloads, reliability needs, interoperability,\noperational complexity, and cost. Document decisions and support the architecture’s evolution as\nrequirements become clearer.\n-Deliver trusted datasets. Establish consistent schemas, timestamps,\nunits, identifiers, and source metadata while preserving measurement meaning. Implement\nvalidation and traceability, and define dependable access methods with the ML team.\nSupport future feature, labeling, and training-data workflows.\n-Operate reliable systems. Build tested, documented pipelines with\nrepeatable deployment, monitoring, and appropriate access controls. Handle\nduplicate, missing, delayed, and out-of-order data, and implement recovery and reprocessing\nprocedures.\nWe’re looking for someone with:\n-Experience designing, implementing, and operating production streaming\nand batch data pipelines and their supporting storage systems.\n-Strong software engineering skills, including maintainable code,\nautomated testing, version control, and deployment.\n-Practical understanding of streaming behavior, including filtering,\nconsumer progress, buffering, failure recovery, and replay.\n-Experience organizing time-series, telemetry, sensor, or similarly\ncomplex data, with an understanding of schema evolution, partitioning, and efficient access\npatterns.\n-Demonstrated ability to investigate unfamiliar systems, evaluate\ntechnical tradeoffs, and communicate recommendations while balancing reliability, performance,\nmaintainability, and cost.\nAdditional experience that would be valuable:\n-Python-based data processing and AWS or comparable cloud\ninfrastructure.\n-Radar, OPIR, or other sensor measurement data.\n-Workflow orchestration, containers, infrastructure as code, and\nautomated delivery.\n-Dataset versioning,
