Overview\n- Provides solutions to problems and guidance to less experienced\nfield engineers.\nProvides guidance on different types of equipment and\ninfrastructure maintenance.\nProvides guidance and installs more advanced or new technologies\nbased on the needs of the customer/client.\nProvides guidance for assessing if equipment and systems meet\ncompliance standards.\nProvides guidance, reports findings and provides solutions for any\nissues that halt progression.\nProvides recommendations and solutions resulting from equipment\nassessments and checkups.\nProvides training to internal and external groups on product\nfeatures and specifications.\nStrengthens and builds client relationships by improving\ninteraction with products.\nMay coach and review the work of less experienced professionals.\nKey Responsibilities\n- Provides solutions to problems and guidance to less experienced\nfield engineers.\n- Provides guidance on different types of equipment and infrastructure\nmaintenance.\n- Provides guidance and installs more advanced or new technologies\nbased on the needs of the customer/client.\n- Support and conduct end-to-end testing of fiber optic cables using\nOTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer), power meters, and other\ntools.\n- Provides guidance, reports findings and solutions for any issues\nthat halt progression.\n- Provides recommendations and solutions resulting from equipment\nassessments and checkups.\n- Provides training to internal and external groups on product\nfeatures and specifications.\n- Strengthens and builds client relationships by improving interaction\nwith products.\n- Review the work of less experienced team members.\n- Review other team members’ work and coach issues for accurate\nproduction submissions.\n- Communicate with team members on daily basis supporting project\ntimelines and goals.\n- Execution - Coordinate with Government Points of Contact (POCs) to\ncoordinate design, installation, base access, clearance, escorts,\npersonnel and equipment to ensure project tasks can be completed on\ntime.\n- Stakeholder Communications - assist the PM with ensuring clear,\nconsistent, timely and accurate communications are maintained with\ninternal and external project stakeholders.\n- Technical support - provide input into the distribution systems\ndesign (ISP/OSP) and technical recommendations to the program and\noperation teams.\n- Leadership - Lead small implementation teams or manage specific work\nscopes for a given site location.\nRequirements:\n10+ years in telecommunications engineering, network infrastructure,\nOSP/ISP design, or related disciplines\n5+ years leading multi-discipline engineering teams in field or\ndeployment environments\nExperience delivering large-scale communications modernization projects\nfor DOW, federal, or large enterprise environments\nExperience managing subcontractor labor and agency field teams\nFamiliarity with AF/SF installation processes, base coordination, and\nengineering standards\nStrong background in OSP construction, fiber design/testing, and\ntelecommunications room infrastructure\nHiring/Working location will be on site supporting the daily\nimplementation efforts at Hickman AFB, HI\nPreferred:\nExperience leading on-site teams performing AFNET, DISA, or DOW network\ninfrastructure/modernization programs\nCertifications (Preferred)\nBICSI OSP (Outside Plant Designer)\nFOA CFOT (Fiber Optic Technician)\nOSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification\nSecurity+ CE (DOW requirement for base network environments)\nEducation:\n- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering,\nCybersecurity, or related technical field (or
