Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S.\n(including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in\nthe last 3 years.\nWe are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Automation Solution Architect to\nsupport a large-scale, multi-year Mainframe Modernization initiative for\na major federal customer. In this customer-facing role, you will partner\ndirectly with the client’s technical and business stakeholders to design\nand implement modern engineering, automation, and delivery practices\nthat accelerate their transformation from legacy mainframe systems to\nsecure, cloud-native platforms. As a key member of the modernization\nprogram’s architecture team, reporting to the Chief Architect, you will\nhelp shape the technical roadmap, lead solution development, and guide\nengineering teams through modern DevSecOps approaches that ensure\nreliability, security, and scalability throughout the transformation\njourney. Your work will directly support mission-critical objectives and\nenable the customer to achieve long-term operational modernization\noutcomes.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nIn this role, you will collaborate closely with federal customer\nstakeholders to:\n- Design and communicate DevSecOps automation strategies that align\nlegacy-to-cloud modernization goals and customer mission needs.\n- Build compelling technical briefings, modernization roadmaps, and\nreusable solution artifacts tailored for customer consumption.\n- LProvide guidance to engineering teams and customer personnel on\nCI/CD pipeline modernization, security integration, test automation,\nand cloud deployment approaches.\n- Evaluate legacy mainframe workflows and help plan prototype\nimplementations demonstrating modernization feasibility and value.\n- Continuously assess modernization progress and support iterative\nimprovements across development, deployment, security, and\nmonitoring workflows.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n- Master’s degree preferred\n- 10+ years software development experience, including 5+ years in\nDevSecOps CI/CD and 3+ years developing cloud-native software\nsolutions (AWS Preferred).\n- Certifications in software development, DevSecOps, or cloud-native\narchitecture.\n- Expertise in DevSecOps automation, Agile/Lean delivery, and\nenterprise-grade CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins,\nTerraform, Ansible, Sonatype, New Relic, Dynatrace, etc.).\n- Hands-on experience designing and supporting cloud-native\narchitectures, containerized microservices, API-driven interfaces,\nand event-based systems. Strong background in application\ncontainerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).\n- Proficiency in modern development frameworks and languages (Java,\n.NET, Node.js, Spring, Angular, React, JSON, etc.).\n- Experience working with large datasets, data migration strategies,\nand modernization-aligned analytics workflows.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n- Experience helping federal customers adopt cloud-native\narchitectures and services (AWS, Azure, container-based\nmicroservices, REST APIs).\n- Demonstrated ability to onboard teams into modern DevSecOps\npipelines and accelerate adoption of automation practices.\n- Experience scaling high-performance engineering solutions for\nstructured and unstructured data.\n- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging
