This individual will work in a collaborative\nenvironment with a cross-functional team to support prototype and\nproduction programs.\nPrefers candidates on-site.\nTravel - 25%\nEsential Duties:\n- Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations,\nsoftware development, hardware selection, and systems engineering\ntasks according to Oshkosh and industry standards and processes.\n- Develop and peer review safety-critical controls software for\nunmanned and optionally\nmanned ground vehicles based on\nrequirements.\n- Develop, analyze, and maintain system architecture models and\nrequirements.\n- Conduct software and integration testing in simulation and\nreal-world environments.\n- Support of supplier and customer tests, to include off-site travel.\n- Perform failure analyses using test data and recommend issue\nresolutions.\n- Maintain configuration management of software source code and\nartifacts.\n- Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited\ncomplexity. May be responsible for managing multiple projects.\n- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.\n- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and\nexternal customers, and outside resources concerning technical\nsubject matter.\n- Process engineering information through CMMI level 3 procedures and\nsoftware safety process.\nBasic Qualifications:\n- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3 plus years related work\nexperience\n- Master’s degree in engineering and 1 or more years related work\nexperience\nPreferred Qualifications:\n- Experience in programming embedded controllers in C/C++, model based\n/ Simulink, and/or PLC languages such as Structured Text.\n- Knowledge of object-oriented design\n- Experience with Systems Engineering processes and SysML (Cameo\nSystems Modeler, MagicDraw).\n- Experience with authoring and managing requirements, version\ncontrol, release management, and peer review systems and processes.\n- Familiarity with safety standards such as MIL-STD-882E, ISO 26262,\nIEC 61508, UL 4600.\n- Familiarity with tools such as Vector CANalyzer, dSPACE TargetLink,\ndSPACE ControlDesk\n- Experience in developing software for vehicle control systems,\neither on-road or off-highway.\n- Experience in developing networked communications (CAN, DDS).\n- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics, mechanics, and electrical\nsystems.\n-
