This is\ncurrent, mission-critical work: the infrastructure and basing decisions\nmade in this role directly affect how quickly and reliably the Space\nForce can field, sustain, and operate the systems the warfighter depends\non. You will work where programs meet installations, turning mission\nneeds and system architectures into the facility, site, and basing\nrequirements needed to bed down new capabilities. That includes site\nactivation and integration for space ground systems, strategic basing\nactions, range and launch infrastructure planning, and facility\nrequirements documentation, including MILCON. You will also help shape\nhow those infrastructure requirements are prioritized and funded,\npartnering with senior stakeholders across headquarters, program\noffices, operational commands, and installation and base operating\nsupport providers, including Base Operating Support-Integrator (BOS-I)\norganizations. Ideal candidates bring space-domain credibility, hands-on\nexperience fielding systems at the installation level, and the judgment\nto turn ambiguous, high-stakes problems into traceable, actionable\nplans.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead site activation and installation integration planning for new space\nsystem beddowns, coordinating facility, power, communications, security,\nand mission support requirements with installation, civil engineering,\nand BOS-I stakeholders.\nDevelop, prioritize, and document facility and construction requirements\ntied to program fielding, and support the path to funding, including\nMILCON\nSupport Air Force and Space Force strategic basing actions and range or\nlaunch infrastructure planning, from site evaluation through basing\ndecision.\nLead the development, validation, prioritization, and traceability of\nweapon-system infrastructure and basing requirements.\nTranslate mission concepts, system architectures, readiness needs, and\nsustainment dependencies into actionable infrastructure requirements.\nAssess infrastructure gaps, inform basing decisions, and guide\ncross-functional teams through complex actions from definition to\nresolution.\nFacilitate senior-level working sessions and deliver clear,\ndecision-ready products while strengthening repeatable requirements\nprocesses.\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree and eight or more years of relevant Federal Government\nor Department of War experience in requirements development, capability\ndevelopment, infrastructure planning, basing, or related mission\nsupport.\nDirect USSF, Air Force space, or national security space experience with\nweapon or defense systems and their associated ground and infrastructure\ndependencies.\nExpertise in one or more Space Force mission areas: missile warning,\ntracking, and missile defense; space domain awareness; military and\nprotected satellite communications; GPS/PNT; space control or\nelectromagnetic warfare; launch and range operations; or satellite\ncommand and control and ground segments.\nHands-on experience in at least two of the following:\nsite activation or site integration for a space ground system;\ninstallation integration for a new system beddown;\nfacility requirements tied to a program;\nparticipation in Air Force or Space Force strategic basing actions;\nor range or launch infrastructure planning.\nExperience working directly with installation, civil engineering, or\nbase operating support organizations to define, prioritize, and resolve\ninfrastructure requirements for a new or changing mission.\nWorking knowledge of installation mission support functions (e.g., civil\nengineering, security forces, communications, logistics readiness) and\nhow they enable a system at a host installation.\nAbility to translate operational concepts, mission threads, system\ninterfaces, and threat-informed needs into prioritized, traceable\nrequirements.\nStrong executive communication and facilitation skills across\nheadquarters, program, operational, installation, and industry\nstakeholders.\nActive TS/SCI clearance.\nPreferred:\nCurrent or prior Special Access Program (SAP) experience and program\nqualification, access, or indoctrination.\nExperience supporting HQ USSF, Space Systems Command, a Field Command, a\nspace program office, a Space Base Delta or installation supporting\nsystem beddown, or comparable enterprise requirements work.\nExperience developing facility requirements and MILCON project\ndocumentation (e.g., DD Form 1391) or supporting facility requirements\nthrough the programming and funding process.\nExperience serving on or supporting a Site Activation Task Force (SATAF)\nor similar beddown planning team.\nExperience working with BOS-I or base operating support organizations,\nsuch as a Space Base Delta, mission support group, or civil
