The candidate should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support critical infrastructure operations in a fast-paced enterprise environment\nPrimary Functions and Essential Responsibilities\nResponsible for day-to-day operational support of enterprise data centers, remote offices, and physical infrastructure environments.\nPerform rack and stack activities for servers, storage, network, security, and infrastructure devices.\nInstall, configure, relocate, decommission, and maintain physical server and infrastructure hardware.\nSupport data center power, cooling, rack space, structured cabling, and environmental monitoring requirements.\nCoordinate with facilities, colocation providers, network teams, server teams, security teams, and external vendors for data center activities.\nMaintain accurate rack elevations, cabling documentation, power mappings, asset inventory, and operational records.\nSupport hardware lifecycle management, including procurement coordination, deployment, refresh, warranty tracking, maintenance, and retirement.\nPerform hardware troubleshooting for physical servers, rack-mounted devices, PDUs, cabling, and connectivity issues.\nCoordinate vendor service requests, hardware replacements, remote hands activities, and break-fix support.\nSupport enterprise server platforms such as HPE, Dell, Cisco UCS, Lenovo, or equivalent hardware platforms.\nAssist with data center capacity planning for rack space, power utilization, cooling, cabling, and future infrastructure growth.\nSupport infrastructure modernization initiatives, including power optimization, structured cabling cleanup, rack standardization, and data center consolidation.\nPerform site audits, asset validation, inventory reconciliation, and compliance-related data center reviews.\nSupport new office builds, office expansions, remote office infrastructure deployments, and technology refresh projects.\nAssist with physical infrastructure readiness for disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.\nMaintain standard operating procedures, operational runbooks, technical documentation, diagrams, and support procedures.\nMonitor and respond to infrastructure alerts related to hardware, power, cooling, environmental conditions, and equipment availability.\nEscalate and communicate incidents, risks, and operational issues as per standard operating procedures.\nProvide support for Service Desk, Production Support, Network, Security Operations, Facilities, and Application teams during infrastructure incidents.\nParticipate in security remediation initiatives, audit support activities, and operational control improvements.\nPerform on-call support, off-hours support, and weekend support rotation as required for maintenance windows, incidents, and planned data center activities.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.\nExperience:\n6-10 years’ experience supporting enterprise data center operations, remote office infrastructure, or physical IT infrastructure environments.\nHands-on experience with rack and stack activities, structured cabling, server hardware installation, device replacement, and data center standards.\nExperience supporting enterprise server hardware platforms such as HPE, Dell, Cisco UCS, Lenovo, or equivalent platforms.\nExperience working with data center facilities, colocation providers, managed service providers, and hardware vendors.\nGood understanding of data center power distribution, redundant power design, PDUs, UPS concepts, HVAC, cooling, and environmental monitoring.\nExperience maintaining rack elevations, cabling diagrams, asset inventory, power mappings, and operational documentation.\nExperience with hardware troubleshooting, firmware updates, vendor case management, and break-fix coordination.\nExperience supporting remote office builds, office expansions, site moves, and infrastructure deployment projects.\nGood understanding of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, network devices, storage devices, and backup infrastructure from a data center support perspective.\nExperience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for incident, change, request, and asset management.\nExperience with monitoring tools, remote management tools, and out-of-band management interfaces such as iLO, iDRAC, IPMI, or equivalent.\nUnderstanding of change management, incident management, asset management, and operational risk controls.\nExperience supporting disaster recovery, business continuity testing, infrastructure failover readiness, and data center recovery documentation is preferred.\nGeneral Requirements:\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve hardware, cabling, power, and physical infrastructure issues.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation and status reporting.\nAbility to effectively interact with infrastructure teams, vendors, facilities teams, business users, and technology stakeholders.\nCustomer service focused on strong ownership and accountability.\nTeam collaboration, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nStrong sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize critical production issues and operational tasks.\nDetail oriented with a strong focus on operational excellence, reliability, safety, and end-user experience.\nAbility to follow documented procedures, operational standards, security requirements, and change management controls.\nAbility to clearly document technical findings, implementation steps, risks, and operational updates.\nComfortable working in data center environments, including lifting, moving, racking, and connecting physical equipment as required by company safety standards.\nAbility to work during planned maintenance windows, business-critical events, and off-hours support rotations as required.\nCDCP, ITIL, CompTIA Server+, Network+, Cisco, Dell, HPE, VMware, or equivalent certifications are preferred.\nExperience with data center
