We’re looking for a sharp, adaptable engineer with out-of-the-box problem-solving skills to join our engineering team.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\n End-to-End Mechanical Design:\n\n Design mechanical equipment, components, and custom sub-assemblies.\n\n Translate concept hand sketches into fully detailed 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).\n\n Site Survey & Reverse Engineering:\n\n Travel to sites to measure existing civil structures, plant layouts, and mechanical equipment to design accurate replacement spare parts.\n\n Procurement & Vendor Interaction:\n\n Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for parts and outsourced components, and evaluate incoming vendor quotes.\n\n Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.\n\n Quality & Technical Documentation:\n\n Conduct quality control (QC) inspections on manufactured parts and assemble accurate Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Manufacturer Data Books (MDBs).\n\n Interpret, write, and review technical engineering specifications.\n\n Hands-on Shop Floor Support:\n\n Provide hands-on guidance during the fabrication, assembly, and testing of designed components and machinery.\n\nDesired Experience & Qualification\n\n Min 3-5year experience using SolidWorks\n\n Metric maths marks 60% and above\n\n Metric Engineering graphics and Design (EGD) 70% and above.\n\n Drivers’ licences code 08\n\n Mechanical national diploma N6/NQF6 (will be a plus)\n\n Candidates will be assessed on their 3D modelling ability, mechanical knowledge, and technical aptitude.\n\nInterested?\nAll applications will be evaluated promptly.
