You will be a part of the Electronics & Telecommunication R&D team where you, with your colleagues, will support with expert knowledge on electronics hardware design, development, and validation. Across our organization, we develop and refine electric systems including protection relays and PTP time servers used in critical applications. You will be part of a friendly and intellectually challenging work environment, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are fundamental for our success.
What awaits you in this role?
- Developing, implementing, and validating telecom and electronics hardware designs as well as refining existing ones.
- Leading to new design projects and improving existing designs.
- Managing design libraries.
- Planning development projects through concept, design, validation, documentation, and production launch.
- Performing computer-based component, circuit, and system simulation to prove out design performance and compliance with product specifications.
- Proactively providing, collecting, and maintaining input to our road map for technical development of our secondary product range of relays and time servers incl. planning, budgeting, and alignment of tasks with our leaders.
- Facilitating day-to-day execution of hardware development & testing and coordinating our R&D team
To succeed in the role, you are required to have:
- Must have a relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or in any relevant field on electronics hardware design
- Strong knowledge of Analog and Digital circuit design.
- Strong knowledge of Altium Designer to design system schematics and PCB.
- Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures and system peripherals (ADC, PWM, I2C, UART, SPI)
- Strong knowledge in applications of EMI/EMC tests complying with the industrial standards
- Experience in PCBA production processes and stages.
- Experience in integration processes.
- Experience in tests of relevant industrial standards.
- Knowledge in requirement management.
- Knowledge of PCB layout design.
- Knowledge of hardware simulation tools such as LTSpice, PSIM.
- General knowledge of FMEA, requirements management, project management, problem solving methodologies and tools
- Strong knowledge of MS Office programs,
- Minimum 5 years of experience of R&D Hardware Design Engineer
- An open and curious mind, an eagerness to understand challenging subjects and a willingness to constantly drive tasks forward and improve our way of working
- Possess solid analytical skills for problem solving and the ability to work with highly complex systems in a structured and inclusive approach
- Understanding needs of the market & customer,
