They define the project management vision, set strategic direction, and lead a team of senior managers and project managers. They are responsible for leading and managing the organization's project management function. This role involves planning, executing, and closing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Director of Project Management will provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance to a team of project managers and cross-functional project teams. They make final decisions on professional and supportive matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n· Define and communicate the strategic direction for project management.\n· Lead and mentor a team of senior managers and project managers.\n· Oversee a large portfolio of complex projects and programs.\n· Align project management with organizational goals and initiatives.\n· Set project priorities and allocate resources effectively.\n· Develop and implement project management standards and best practices.\n· Monitor and report on the performance and outcomes of projects.\n· Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in project management practices.\n· Collaborate with C-level executives to drive the organization's mission.\n· Ensure resource optimization and budget control across projects.\n· Promote a culture of excellence and accountability in project management.\n· Forecast and report on project financials to senior management.\n· Promote best practices and continuous improvement in project management methodologies.\n· Stay current with industry trends and advancements in project management.\nMINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nEDUCATION:\n· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.\n· Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or PhD in a related field expected.\nEXPERIENCE:\n· 10+ years of extensive project management experience, with a significant portion in leadership roles.\n· 5+ years of people management experience.\n· Demonstrated experience in executive leadership and overseeing the entire project management function.\n· Proven expertise in managing complex programs and large-scale initiatives.\n· In-depth experience in financial and budget management at the executive level.\n· Experience developing and implementing a strategic vision for project management in alignment with the organization's objectives.\n· Experience leading large teams with multiple direct and indirect reports.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:\n· N/A- for recruitment purposes.\nSKILL REQUIREMENTS\nStrategic Leadership: Exceptional strategic leadership and vision for the entire project management function.\nProgram Management: Mastery in program and portfolio management for complex, large-scale initiatives.\nChange Management: Expertise in driving organizational change and development.\nOrganizational Development: Ability to promote a culture of excellence and accountability.\nFinancial Acumen: In-depth financial and budget management expertise at the highest level.\nInfluential Communication: Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influence skills at the executive level.\nDecision-Making: Advanced decision-making capabilities in high-stakes scenarios.\nInnovation and Transformation: Lead innovation and transformation efforts in project management practices.\n Escalation Management: Manage proper internal communication to Argano leadership team and stakeholders, ensuring appropriate internal and external escalation processes are followed.
