We have sites in the UK and Amsterdam.\nMain purpose of the role:\nThe Senior Operator supports the Team leader ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the pre-treatment plant in the production of biodiesel.\nThis role follows a 4 days on (2 days & 2 nights), 6 days off shift pattern.\nYour key responsibilities will be:\nWorking as part of a shift team ensuring KPI targets are met.\n\nDriving HSEQ compliance by setting high standards for the team and ensuring issues or events raised are recorded and actioned.\n\nDeputising for the team leader and mentoring operators to ensure plant safety, process efficiency, and troubleshooting operational issues.\n\nWorking with the Team Leader to troubleshoot operational issues and resolve them promptly, coordinating with other departments as needed.\n\nMaintaining accurate records of plant operations, including logs, shift reports, detailed verbal and written handovers and incident reports.\n\nProviding on the job training to operators providing mentorship and technical assistance.\n\nEnsuring preventative maintenance is carried out on plant equipment according to the predefined schedule and apply safe systems of work\n\nYour key relationships will be:\nThe Senior Operator will work closely with other departments, such as maintenance, HSE, quality and tank operations to optimise plant performance while adhering to environmental, health, and safety standards.\nRequirements\nSkills and behaviours you will need to be successful:\nStrong understanding of pre-treatment/chemical process operations, control systems, and troubleshooting techniques. (essential)\n\nFamiliarity with process equipment (pumps, compressors, reactors, heat exchangers, etc.) and their operation.
