Support includes coordinating and reviewing design, development, and testing activities for all our space applications and specifically for avionics systems for micro-satellites.\nIn this position, you will work with autonomy and in a highly collaborative team environment. Besides the US team, you will also have the support of an experienced multi-functional team from Argotec’s headquarters in Italy.\nSpecific duties include (but are not limited to):\nProposal support for Avionics and Electrical systems.\nAssessing system performance, design trades, and evaluating system effectiveness.\nReview of electrical schematics, layout, and manufacturing specifications.\nDefinition of board-level hardware architectures and EEE parts selection.\nDefinition and execution of Avionics testing.\nDevelopment and management of subsystem specifications.\nPreliminary subsystem/component validation through analysis and simulations.\nSupport to other company’s functional areas.\nGENERAL REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor of Science Degree in Science, Engineering or other related STEM discipline.\n14 or more years of professional experience in the role (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education).\nUS Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.\nExcellent written and oral communication.\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS\nTeam player and a “do what it takes” attitude\nExtensive experience in developing space systems, including the design and integration of key components such as On-Board Computers (OBCs) and PCDUs.\nDeep knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics.\nFamiliarity in FPGA design, including architecture definition, programming, and validation to support mission-critical applications.\nStrong focus on designing for EMC/EMI.\nGreat problem-solving skills.\nPREFERRED SKILLS\nBackground in Space or Defense sector will be considered as a plus.\nVery good knowledge of the space standards (CCSDS, ECSS, MIL etc.).\nExtensive knowledge of laboratory instruments.\nAbility to establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI).\nProficiency in Altium Designer.\nKnowledge of RF electronic devices.\nExpertise in complex PCB layout design.\nExperience in programming embedded micro-controllers/processors.\nExperience in scheduling and coordinating activities for avionics projects.\nCapable of working independently and in a team environment.\nProgressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.\nMust possess multi-tasking skills and excellent organizational abilities.\nImpeccable attention to detail and a sense of urgency.\nIMPORTANT NOTICE\nTo conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.\nARGOTEC OFFERS\nAnnual incentive pay is based upon performance and commensurate with the level of the position.\nGenerous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 100% match up to 8%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.\nAs an Equal Opportunity Employer, this announcement is aimed at both sexes, under laws 903/77 and 125/91, and to people of all ages and all nationalities, under legislative decrees 215/03 and 216/03.
