In this role, you will contribute to the development and leadership of innovative space missions based on Small Satellites, with a primary focus on the technical coordination and management of a multi-disciplinary project team.\nDUTIES\nAs a Space Missions Engineer, you will act as the Lead System Engineer for the mission development projects. You will ensure that every mission meets its end-to-end technical objectives, while leading and coordinating the technical project team toward successful mission implementation.\nThe activities will include (but are not limited to):\nLead the end-to-end development and coordination of space projects from phase A to phase E, taking of all the interfaces and interactions between Space Segment, Ground Segment and Launch Segment;\nManage of technical project’s schedule and implementation on short- and long-term basis (knowledge of JIRA, MS Project are preferred) on tools like JIRA;\nDay-to-day coordination with the Technical Team, Program Manager and Product Assurance Manager;\nDaily interface with Platform Systems Engineering, V&V Systems Engineering and AIT Engineering;\nCoordination and supervision of activities of each subsystem responsible.\nDefinition, management and review of technical requirements and specifications;\nSupport the definition of Mission Concepts of Operations and Mission profiles;\nIteration with procurement department according to mission needs;\nContribution to the system engineering plans, including design, development plan, and verification plan;\nSupervision and coordination of technical reviews execution and data packages delivery with customers and suppliers;\nInvolvement in Quality Assurance/Product Assurance activities such as (external/internal) NRB and NCR management, Configuration and Control Processes.\nGENERAL REQUIREMENTS\nMaster’s degree in Aerospace, Space Engineering or related technical field;\nAt least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Lead System Engineer on space/satellite projects;\nExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;\nHigh flexibility and team-working capability;\nHands-on and proactive approach;\nPragmatic approach to problem solving;\nAbility to work within multidisciplinary and international teams;\nExcellent written and oral communication in English.\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS\nProven experience in managing space projects and multi-disciplinary technical teams;\nStrong ability to prioritize and supervise technical activities;\nKnowledge of mission phases and related activities;\nPrevious experience in design, development, and qualification of satellites;\nDemonstrate a good understanding of satellite architecture and design;\nKnowledge of System Configuration Control and Management;\nExcellent knowledge of system engineering tools and processes;\nExperience in managing industrial activities, including reviews;\nFamiliarity with aerospace standards (ECSS, MIL, NASA STD);\nKnowledge of space component technologies and European Small Satellite market.\nADDITIONAL ASSETS\nExperience with Model-Base Systems Engineering (MBSE);\nExperience applying Agile principles to technical project management;\nKnowledge of JIRA and Confluence;\nExperience with CubeSat and SmallSat platforms;\nExperience with in-orbit spacecraft operations;\nPerformed projects review under ESA supervision;\nFamiliarity with private Space sector dynamics.\nWHY JOIN ARGOTEC?\nOpportunity to work with highly motivated colleagues in a very innovative environment.\nProfessional training and career development opportunities.\nFlexible working time schedule and a hybrid work policy.\nMonthly \"Free-Day\" - every second Friday: time off to dedicate to your family and/or hobbies.\nA diversified community that organizes extra-work and fun activities.\nSALARY RANGE:\n40.000 - 50.000 EUR\nArgotec reserves the right to assess the appropriate job level and compensation package based on objective criteria emerging throughout the selection process.
