patient experiences.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise and direct a team of patient access representatives, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient and effective patient access operations.\nManage patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, eligibility, pre-authorization, and out-of-pocket cost estimates functions.\nEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations, insurance requirements, privacy standards, and facility policies.\nContinuously evaluate and improve patient access processes, workflows, and technologies to enhance the patient experience and optimize department performance.\nImplement best practices, standards, and quality metrics to measure and monitor patient access performance, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.\nCollaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, administrators, and finance staff, to achieve organizational goals and optimize patient outcomes.\nDevelop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and caregivers by providing exceptional customer service, empathetic communication, and personalized experiences.\nProvide accurate and timely reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies regarding patient access statistics, trends, and issues.\nCompletes charge reconciliation, late charge additions, and unfinalized review of billing.\nReview denials that are specific to authorizations, eligibility, registration, needing more information, etc. that are assigned by the Central Billing Office and Meditech.\nVerify that all scheduled services have authorizations, as needed.\nEstablish point-of-service collection goals for the registration staff.\nResolve assigned tasks.\nResolved assigned account checks.\nAssist hospital departments with removing and adding charges.\nWork the return to client file as assigned by the Meduit for resolution.\nCheck and work mail.\nQuality Assurance checks of consent forms, cards, and insurances are verified.Assist other departments as needed with claim resolution.\nWork the assigned PAD functions, as needed.\nQualifications\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma required.\nExperience\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience in Patient Access or a related healthcare field required.\nAt least one (1) year of supervisory or management experience required.\nKnowledge\nKnowledge of healthcare regulations, insurance requirements, privacy standards, and facility policies.\nUnderstanding of governmental and private insurance guidelines.\nStrong clinical knowledge with the ability to conduct chart reviews and communicate effectively with physicians and medical staff.\nExperience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, practice management software, and patient data management tools.\nSkills and Abilities\nExcellent organizational, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, families, and caregivers.\nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality assurance.\nAbility to exercise sound judgment and maintain
