The position acts as the bridge between business logistics, global OEMs, vendors, and internal tech teams to ensure maximum service availability and seamless technological scaling.\n\nORGANIZATIONAL CHART:\n\nProject Head IT\n\nGroup Head - Real Estate & Infrastructure\n\nChief Manager (Role Holder) IT System Integrator\n\nPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:\n\nArchitectural Integration & Deployment:\n\n- Design and execute end-to-end integration roadmaps for the corporate campus, merging physical building management systems (BMS), campus IoT networks, and enterprise application layers.\n\n- Standardize environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Terraform/Ansible to guarantee consistency across testing, staging, and production setups.\n\n- Develop the campus systems into modern microservices and API-driven hybrid cloud infrastructures.\n\n- Integration of disparate IT functions (NOC/SOC, cloud ops, physical hardware staging, and campus smart-automation).\n\nSupply Operations & Vendor Governance:\n\n- Oversee the formulation of technical Bills of Materials (BoMs) and collaborate with procurement to source OEM-certified equipment and software.\n\n- Manage rigorous vendor staging and lab-testing pipelines to ensure multi-vendor compatibility before live deployments on campus.\n\n- Hold third-party system integrators and contractors accountable to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) during deployment and maintenance windows.\n\n- Monitor and validate what is being executed on site versus agreed commitments.\n\nService Delivery & Operational Continuity:\n\n- Transition campus infrastructure management from reactive firefighting to predictive AIOps models, leveraging automated self-healing workflows.\n\n- Collaborate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) to safeguard distributed edge hardware and local data hubs against downtime or breaches.\n\n- Maintain strict regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, local physical safety/data mandates) across all integrated systems.\n\nProcurement & Commercial Management:\n\n- Define technical requirements and evaluation criteria for IT packages.\n\n- Lead technical evaluation of vendors and system integrators.\n\n- Support commercial negotiations and contract finalization.\n\n- Ensure procurement is aligned with project programme and technology roadmap.\n\n- Control scope changes, variations and commercial exposure.\n\nTesting, Commissioning & Handover:\n\n- Establish comprehensive testing and commissioning strategies.\n\n- Ensure FAT, SAT, integrated systems testing and performance testing are completed.\n\n- Establish documentation, asset registers, warranties, licenses and O&M requirements.\n\n- Ensure smooth transition from project delivery to IT operations.\n\nCybersecurity and Compliance:\n\n- Comply with the organization's cybersecurity, information-security and technology policies.\n\n- Implement approved security controls, network segmentation, access restrictions and secure configurations.\n\n- Ensure default passwords, unnecessary services and unauthorized access paths are removed or disabled.\n\nDocumentation and Handover:\n\n- Prepare and maintain complete project documentation throughout the delivery period.\n\n- Submit test reports, commissioning records, inspection requests and compliance certificates.\n\n- Submit operation and maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guides and preventive-maintenance requirements.\n\n- Provide backup copies of configurations, software, licenses and system databases.\n\n- Conduct operator and administrator training for the IT and facilities teams.\n\n- Support the final handover, defect closure and transition to operations.\n\n- Provide post-handover support during the defects-liability or warranty period.\n\nMAJOR CHALLENGES:\n\n- Delivery of this role directly impacts the technological stability, network uptime, and systemic efficiency of the entire corporate campus ecosystem.\n\n- Navigate highly complex, multi-vendor interoperability issues, architectural bottlenecks, and legacy modernization hurdles.\n\n- Operating in a dynamic environment with tight timelines.\n\nDECISIONS:\n\n- Selecting technical integration methodologies, staging protocols, and internal deployment frameworks.\n\n- Technical recommendations.\n\n- Resource planning and work allocation for the internal team.\n\n- Escalation of risks and deviations with proposed corrective actions.\n\nINTERACTIONS:\n\nInternal Clients:\n\n- Corporate Functions (Group IT team, Procurement, Admin)\n\n- Facility Management & Projects teams\n\n- Senior Project Team members\n\nExternal Clients:\n\n- Vendors\n\n- PMC and External consultants\n\n- Government & Statutory bodies (If required)\n\nDIMENSIONS:\n\nSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:\n\nTechnical & Professional Skills:\n\n- Proficient in cloud-native paradigms (Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP), hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), software-defined networking (SDN), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/WMS) architectures.
