The HR Manager ensures that policies and procedures are executed ethically and within legal parameters. In addition, the HR Manager supports the development, implementation, and training of HR practices within the organization.\nWhat you'll do\nOversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the HR team\nIn partnership with HR Director, recommend HR related procedure improvements.\nFacilitate resolution of work-related problems between management and employees.\nProvide support and guidance to HR department, management, and other personnel when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may assist with investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations\nAct as advisor on employee performance issues\nFacilitate measures to improve and enhance individual performance\nSupport and collaborate with management on implementation of performance improvement plans\nAssist with counseling documentation development and conduct formal counseling meetings\n\nTrain, coach and support management in Human Resources policies, procedures, and best practices\nEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws\nParticipate in developing department goals and objectives\nAssist with reports related to personnel data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, etc.\nRecommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed\nMaintain and update HR documents as needed\nFollow all company and State policies and procedures\nMinimum Qualification\nBachelor’s degree in related field required\n6+ years of progressive Human Resource experience with a focus on Employee Relations\n3+ years of experience leading or managing HR team members\nKnowledge of general HR functions and administrative procedures and systems\nUnderstanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures\nKnowledge in principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources\nHRCI, SHRM-CP or other HR credentials preferred\nAbility to acquire and maintain a DPS fingerprint card\nKey Competencies\nExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication\nExcellent managerial skills\nExcellent decision-making and time management skills\nExcellent ability to problem solve\nMeticulous attention to detail\nBuild, cultivate and maintain internal and external relationships\nStrong ethics and reliability\nExcellent organizational skills with goals-driven approach and timely follow-up skills\nStrong decision-making skills\nAbility to work remotely in a quiet environment free from distractions\nAbility to work with various
