At Arista, we take pride in our track record of success and strive to maintain the highest standards of quality and performance in everything we do.\n Who You’ll Work With\nWorking in Engineering Productivity (EngProd), you will collaborate and work with other engineers to design, build, scale, and operate the systems that the rest of Arista’s development teams use. The EngProd team uses industry-standard systems like Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Grafana, Spinnaker, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Google Cloud, and Varnish and also internal systems that we’ve built from the ground-up to automate CI/CD, testing, analysis, and visualization. We believe observability is one of the cornerstones of a stable system, and endeavor to make sure we can monitor and visualize all aspects of our tooling and infrastructure.\nArista Software Engineering roles demand a strong and broad software engineering background. While the primary focus area for this role is EngProd, the role will not be limited to any single aspect of software development at Arista. It will cover all aspects of software development spanning the addition of new features, debugging problems and fine tuning code for scalability and performance. maintaining tools and infrastructure facilitating internal development and testing.\nImprove maintainability of build system\nEvaluate new tools\nImprove speed of information back to the development team within the build systems and processes\nTroubleshoot and resolve systems and network issues.\nAdherence to infrastructure-as-code principles.\nProactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.\nParticipate in the design and implementation of new systems and infrastructure projects.\n Essential Skills\nMinimum 4+ years commercial experience in this space as a DevOps / SRE Engineer\nSolid experience with Jenkins and GitHub, ideally with a background/understanding of the Atlassian stack of products (Confluence/Jira/Bamboo/Bitbucket)\nUNIX / Linux systems administration (preferably RedHat/CentOS).\nScripting with Python or Bash or experience at least one high level language such as Go, C++, etc.. \nExperience with containerization and container orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).\nExperience with (CI/CD) orchestration and software configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Chef).\nAbility to work in a fast paced and agile development environment.\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\nWorking knowledge/experience with Makefile/make\nDesired Skills\nBS/MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant experience subject.\nExperience with monitoring systems (e.g. Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, DataDog).\nExperience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)\nExperience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, XenServer, RHEV, QEMU/KVM).\nExperience with any of the following: Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, Grafana, Artifactory.\nExposure to FPGA build projects\nExposure or experience
