This is a fulltime onsite position based at Aristocrat's integration center at Sydney, NSW and reports directly to the Vice President, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering based at Aristocrat, Henderson, Nevada, USA. The position works collaboratively with the Integration centre head at Sydney in a matrixed reporting structure.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop a high-performing manufacturing engineering team comprising of mechanical engineers, industrial engineers, electronics engineers and production support personnel.
  • Establish and sustain Manufacturing Engineering important metrics to drive departmental performance and achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
  • Collaborate with key partners in manufacturing operations, design and development to ensure compliance with the manufacturing strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of business systems, manufacturing processes, and electronic repair center procedures.
  • Support design and development projects from an NPI scope to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate the plant maintenance program to meet all maintenance requirements.
  • Promote a safety culture across the site and actively engage with safety initiatives.
  • Identify and address quality and development issues impacting production processes, field performance, and costs through Engineering Change Requests.
  • Manage new product activities to ensure timely delivery and alignment with quality standards.
  • Manage the manufacturing engineering team based at Sydney and provide engineering support remotely to the manufacturing site at Barcelona, Spain

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or production engineering, or equivalent. Master's degree with proven experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in an engineering division with a recent supervisory role leading a team of engineers.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence concepts with a passion for crafting efficiencies and improving systems and automation.
  • Excellent social skills, with the ability to mentor and lead staff.
  • Strong financial and commercial manufacturing competence.
  • Hands-on technical problem solver by nature.
  • Related studies in Industrial Engineering or a similar field are highly regarded.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment in collaboration with a globally distributed team.
