We're looking for a Senior Python Engineer - Automation to transform our enterprise organization by automating repetitive processes and advancing our Reporting Center of Excellence standards.\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelop the complete Life Cycle of Automation Solutions from intake through development, debugging, testing, deployment into production, and documentation, following the Reporting Center of Excellence’s standards and governance.\nReview all developed automated solutions with team leader to ensure objectives and guidelines are met.\nBuild sustainability documentation for each automated process; review other team members' documentation; and contribute to team training and professional development activities.\nRun and maintain over 500 existing automation processes to ensure consistent, up-to-date, and accurate operating rhythm.\nLead and coordinate recurring meetings with business collaborators to provide functional and technical expertise in identifying automation opportunities, process improvement, and Automation Governance.\nResearch and develop code to improve existing automations for better performance and sustainability.\nSupport the Reporting Center of Excellence in advancing both strategic and tactical implementation of solutions to meet organizational automation objectives.\nDirect the creation of Python-based and Agentic AI tools aimed at automating extensive repetitive tasks like combining various data sources, producing reports, and system reconciliation.\nConduct detailed reviews of automation code developed by team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to guidelines and organizational standards.\nMentor and guide junior engineers, encouraging skill development in Python, automation frameworks, and problem-solving techniques.\nFind opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize existing automations.\nResearch and incorporate new Python libraries and AI tools to improve automation capabilities.\nSupport proof-of-concept developments for evaluating new AI tools and frameworks for automation efficiency.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nWhat We're Seeking\nMust have high-level Python skills.\nStrong communication skills, able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.\nExperience working with a wide range of data sources, including multiple ERP systems and legacy environments.\nAbility to set and accomplish goals.\nOutstanding organizational skills.\nExcellent interpersonal skills required.\nHigh level of personal and professional accountability, with the ability to enlist the cooperation of peer groups involved in common business goals.\nAbility to meet changing demands and adapt to frequently changing priorities.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar.\n3+ years of experience in Python Development (or MS in above subjects + 0-2 years experience).\nAdvanced abilities in Python, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).\nPreferred experience (not required): R, SQL, Java, C++, C#, HTML, Selenium, Power Automate and CoPilot, Studio for Agent Building, Snowflake or other Data Warehouses, PowerBI or any other dashboarding tool, IPA, Anaplan (or similar corporate reporting cube environment), Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).\nProficiencies:\nIntegrity or equivalent experience\nOrganization\nDecision making\nBusiness insight\nIntegrity\nAuthenticity\nLeadership\nPersonal Attributes:\nEffective communicator\nQuick learner\nAttention to detail\nGood teamwork skills with a demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams\nHigh degree of problem-solving, advanced analytical, and critical thinking skills\nSelf-motivated with a drive to completion/resolution\nThis job description may have been reviewed and enhanced using AI-assisted tools to improve clarity, consistency, and inclusivity.
