This is a unique opportunity to join the Analytics Engineering Excellence team within Enterprise D&A, where you will transform raw data in a modern platform and create models that empower self-serve analysis, reporting, and data science. As the Lead Analytics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining data models, applying data modeling expertise, and enabling the business with high-quality, trusted datasets. With your valuable contribution to the business in this role, the opportunities are endless - from a rewarding career in Technology to continued growth at Aritzia.\nTHE ROLE\nAs the Lead Analytics Engineer, you will:\nDevelop complex SQL transformations to create beautifully designed and widely used data models\nEmbed and enrich business logic to unify the analysis of cross functional teams\nDesign and recommend data model structure and flow\nReview and approve model changes and be the technical owner for specific data sub-domains\nCreate in Google Cloud Platform and Dataform (Google’s version of dbt)\nContribute to and leverage the best practices and standards of analytics engineering\nTHE QUALIFICATIONS\nThe Lead Analytics Engineer has:\nProven skills, education, and/or applicable certifications in:Excellent SQL skills with the ability to create efficient and tune efficient data models\nStrong business modelling skills, with the ability to translate expressed requirements into data models\nKnowledge of varied design options for reshaping data tables\nExperience with modern cloud data platforms such as GCP, MS, AWS\nExperience developing and maintaining AI agents is an asset\nSAP HANA data environment is a plus\n\nAn enthusiastic approach to taking on new opportunities and challenges\nThe ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners\nA commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Business and People Leadership principles\nTHE COMPENSATION\nAt Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy.\nThe range for roles at this level is $100,000 - $300,000 per year.
