As the Lead Analytics Engineer, you will support and enable the business, apply data modeling expertise, and become the data domain go-to person. With the skills you gain in this role the opportunities are endless, from a rewarding career in Technology to continued growth at Aritzia.\nTHE ROLE\nAs the Lead Analytics Engineer, you will:\nDevelop complex SQL transformations to create beautifully designed and widely used data models\nEmbed and enrich business logic to unify the analysis of cross functional teams\nDesign and recommend data model structure and flow\nReview and approve model changes and be the technical owner for specific data sub-domains\nCreate in Google Cloud Platform and Dataform (Google’s version of DBT)\nContribute to and leverage the best practices and standards of analytics engineering\nTHE QUALIFICATIONS\nThe Lead Analytics Engineer has:\nProven and best-in-class skills, education, and/or applicable certifications:Advanced SQL expertise with the ability to create efficient and tuned data models\nProficiency with modern data transformation frameworks such as dbt and/or Dataform\nProven ability to build scalable and effective data models from business requirements\nStrong understanding of modern data architecture and modeling methodologies (e.g. medallion architecture, Kimball and Inmon approaches, star schemas, and One Big Table (OBT) design)\nDeep expertise in incremental modeling patterns, partitioning and clustering strategies, and data quality testing frameworks\nExperience in optimizing enterprise data workloads on cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS, and Azure)\nExperience in applying software engineering workflows to data platforms (e.g. version control, testing, and deployment across environments)\nExperience in technical mentorship, code reviews, and elevating engineering best practices across teams\n\nA commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles\nAn enthusiastic approach to taking on new opportunities and challenges\nThe skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes \nTHE COMPENSATION\nAt Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy. The range for roles at this level is $100,000 - $300,000 per year.
