The ideal person for this role obsesses over the details and can deliver improvements to the product.\nMost engineering teams treat UX refinement as an afterthought squeezed between feature work. Your job is to make the experience of using our product enjoyable!\nWhat You'll Do:\nOwn the \"look and experience\" of the product end to end:\nUser Research \nIdentify pain points\nWatch real users in Fullstory, identify friction points, and fix them\nDesign Solutions \nPrototype interaction alternatives rapidly (in Figma or code) to test different approaches\nCreate, refine, and iterate on UX flows and interaction patterns\nImplement Solutions\nWork closely with our Senior engineers who own feature architecture - they build the foundation, you perfect the interface\nRun lightweight usability tests to validate improvements\nBuild reusable interaction patterns that the team can leverage\nA typical week might include:\nWatching 10 user sessions, identifying common friction points\nMeeting with users to get deeper on new product features feedback \nPrototyping different flows in Figma\nImplementing design improvements with smooth transitions and helpful inline guidance\nPairing with Staff engineers to refactor a complex form into a multi-step wizard\nRunning a quick usability test with 5 users on the new onboarding flow\nYou're a great fit if:\n You have an engineering background - you’ve either been an frontend developer, have an engineering degree, or you have used Claude Code/Cursor to make impactful design changes.\nYou've worked on complex tools (dev tools, data tools, B2B SaaS) where UX really matters\nYou've made products noticeably better through refinement (show us!)\nYou’ve built or contributed to design systems and animation libraries.\nYou've used feedback collection tools and incorporated user feedback into designs\nYou can work in Figma to wireframe and create flows to share with fellow engineers\nYou think about edge cases, loading states, and empty states automatically\nThe estimated annual salary for this role is between $165,000 - $200,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is determined based upon a variety of job related factors that may include: transferable work experience, skill sets, and qualifications.
