This position has no reports.\nJob dimensions\nThis highly skilled job exists to manage a broad spectrum of electrical work, interpreting electrical diagrams/schematics, utilizing electrical diagnostic equipment, troubleshooting of all electrical control circuitry and distribution equipment, revising and designing of said circuitry, and proper switching and isolation of equipment.\nKey Activities and responsibilities\nInstrumentation (40%):\nPerform highly diversified instrumentation duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment\nUnderstand, execute, and follow all procedures in the execution of maintenance activities\nTest all equipment worked on for proper operation prior to turnover to production\nUse Power Equipment (power hand tools, grinders, drill press, saws, press)\nFabrication (Reading Prints, Developing Isometric Drawings, Follow engineering standards)\nRead and understand equipment drawings, manuals, and documentation\nUse a variety of test and diagnostic meters as well as electronic instrument calibration devices\nRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance, calibration and service\nDiagnose problems, replace, repair, test and make adjustments to instrumentation\nWork on digital and analog computer machine interfacing\nElectrical (40%):\nPerform highly diversified electrical duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment\nDiagnose problems, replace, repair, test and make adjustments to electrical equipment\nElectrical duties would include preventive maintenance of motors and other electrical apparatus (switchgear, MCC’s, VFD’s, power panels, etc.)\nKnowledge of the NEC\nRead and interpret One-line drawings, electrical/electronic schematics and related drawings/diagrams\nKnowledge of NFPA 70E\nOther duties (20%):\nOperation of Lifting Equipment (Fork Truck, Boom Lift, Scissor Lift, etc.)\nUnderstand, execute, and follow all procedures in the execution of maintenance activities\nDocument Maintenance work for Governmental and Permit Compliance\nLog time and able to describe work done in work order system\nUse Database Software to Acquire parts needed for Job\nScope and Plan jobs\nPerform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and plant facilities\nUpdate maintenance records and equipment history as needed\nCommunicate with outside vendors or contractors to help on capital project work\nMaintains a clean work environment\nExecutes all tasks necessary as assigned to support plant operations, such tasks may be of an unskilled or skilled nature\nProvide feedback to supervision pertaining to any abnormal equipment observations\nRead company communications weekly, i.e. production advisories, emails, etc.\nComplete scheduled periodic training on time and as required\nOther duties as assigned\nC ontext and environment\nFollow All Plant Safety Procedures and Policies (LOTO, SWP, etc.)\nUse of Proper PPE for Job and Area (Respirators, Harnesses, Chemical Suits)\nConformance to Plant Permits and Certifications (ISO, cGMP, Title V, FDA, RCRA, SWWP)\nWork at elevated heights (platforms, scaffolding, ladders and grating)\nEnsures compliance of regulatory and plant safety and environmental requirements with special emphasis on Process Safety Management (PSM)\nDemonstrates commitment to HES through high visibility and actions.\nMaintenance work will occasionally require confined space entries, working at elevated heights, using respirators, working outdoors, etc.\nSupports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements\nParticipates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc . (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)\nSupports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents\nRequired Education/Qualifications /Work experience\nRequires a HS diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or a journeyman electrical license, or an equivalent number of years of education and electrical or instrumentation experience.
