The intern will participate in multi-disciplinary projects focused on their field of study and industry best practices, supporting ongoing initiatives and contributing to the development and implementation of new processes and technologies. Throughout the internship, the student will have opportunities to develop an understanding of P&IDs, perform engineering calculations, collaborate with multiple departments, and gain exposure to a strong safety culture. At the conclusion of the internship, the student will present their project work and key learnings to site leadership.\nKey Activities and responsibilities\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and quality. (15%)\nCollaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to resolve technical issues and improve plant operations. (15%)\nConduct research and analysis to evaluate new technologies and process improvements. (15%)\nPrepare reports and presentations on projects and process improvements. (15%)\nAssist engineering teams with project related needs. (15%)\nUnderstand, support, and comply with all plant safety policies and procedures. (15%)\nOther duties in support of manufacturing operations and processes as well as taking advantage of opportunities to enhance learning in field of engineering and professional development. (10%)\nContext and environment\nSupports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.\nFollows all safety practices while working in the manufacturing setting, including wearing proper PPE\nAsks questions about the process and has an open and willingness to learn\nParticipates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, etc.)\nSupports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident, or injury incidents.\nUnderstands and supports all of Arkema’s HESQ commitments both at a corporate and facility level.
