Your work spans our in-platform LLM application, used by data analysts and financial analysts at enterprise customers, and the internal agentic frameworks that help our software engineers across the development lifecycle.\nYou’ll have end-to-end ownership: from system design and development through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You’ll partner with engineering and product to turn complex requirements into reliable software and help shape Arkham’s AI architecture.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nBuild and evolve Arkham’s in-platform LLM application, helping enterprise users explore data, perform analysis, and inform business decisions\nDevelop internal agentic frameworks and tools that support code development, testing, review, and CI pipelines\nDesign backend services, APIs, and infrastructure that support AI applications and agent execution\nBuild agentic workflows with tool integration, state management, and failure recovery\nEstablish evaluations and automated testing to measure quality and prevent regressions\nOwn deployment, monitoring, debugging, and ongoing improvement of production systems\nImprove reliability, latency, and cost across models, tools, and backend services\nWork with engineering and product to define technical approaches and establish reusable patterns for AI development\nWhat We Require\n3+ years of professional Python development experience, with a proven track record of shipping and maintaining production applications\n2+ years of experience designing and building backend systems, including APIs, databases, and asynchronous workflows\nStrong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, version control, and code reviews\nExperience building reliable services with clear observability, error handling, and monitoring\nProven ability to own systems from technical design through deployment and production maintenance\nAbility to turn ambiguous requirements into practical technical decisions and working software\nStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain architectural decisions and their tradeoffs\nNice to Have\nHands-on experience developing agentic workflows and execution loops, including tool calling, state management, and failure recovery\nExperience integrating LLMs into applications, including structured outputs, context management, and external tools or data sources\nExperience designing evaluations to measure AI system quality and catch regressions\nExperience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), search, and document processing\nExperience implementing permissions, data isolation, and safeguards for AI systems that take actions\nUnderstanding of the tradeoffs between model quality, latency, and cost\nExperience building developer tools or automating parts of the software development lifecycle\nWhy This Role Is Different\nYou’ll shape both the AI capabilities our customers use and the tools our engineers use to build them.
