Our partners scale from big semiconductor houses to small start-ups, and all of them are building new exciting products.\nJob Overview:\nAs an Application Engineer, you will be working with Arm partners around the world as they develop next-generation products using Arm CPU and System IP. You will provide technical guidance, support and training, helping customers successfully integrate and optimise Arm technology within their SoC designs.\nThis is a varied and highly technical role that combines hands-on engineering and problem-solving with collaboration and communication. You will have opportunities to deepen your technical expertise, work with a broad range of technologies and products, and collaborate with teams across Arm and with engineers from leading technology companies worldwide.\nKey Responsibilities\nAs an Application Engineer, your responsibilities will include:\nProviding timely and accurate technical guidance on Arm CPU and System IP.\nInvestigating technical issues and working collaboratively with partners to identify solutions.\nDeveloping and delivering technical training on CPU and System IP.\nReviewing customer SoC designs incorporating Arm IP and providing recommendations on functionality and optimisation.\nCollaborating with Arm IP design and product management teams to improve the partner experience and provide input into future IP development.\nTesting IP deliverables and providing feedback to design teams ahead of customer releases.\nCreating and maintaining technical knowledge-based articles and application notes.\nDeveloping tools and techniques that help the Applications Engineering team investigate and solve problems more efficiently.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nBSc Degree or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (ECE) or equivalent\nExcellent understanding of HDLs such as Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL\nVery good knowledge of CPU architecture principles and SoC design principles\nKnowledge of System Coherency concepts\nAbility to use RTL simulation tools for debugging purposesQuestasim, Verdi, Cadence Simvision, Xcelium\n\nAbility to work with remote teams\n“Nice to Have” Skills & Expertise\nKnowledge of one or more AMBA bus protocols\nKnowledge of the Arm Architecture\nKnowledge of PCIe, CXL, and/or UCIe specifications\nIn Return:\nIn return, you will be provided with an encouraging, friendly, and high performing environment where you can learn and develop the skills needed to succeed in this role.
