Meeting Area, Frequency, and Power requirements with a reasonable runtime is one of most important activities we encounter.\nAs a hardware Physical Implementation Engineer, you will contribute significantly by:\nIdentify critical bottlenecks across IP development, performing accurate trade-off between the various PPA metrics of the designs (frequency, power, area).\nAnalyzing and optimizing power for our next generation IP, using innovative technologies, methodologies and tools.\nProviding high-quality timing, power and area analysis and recommendations to design teams, with opportunities to take increasing ownership of PPA optimization and technical direction depending on experience.\nSupporting our partners to achieve the best PPA results.\nLiaise with other implementation groups to improve implementation flow alignment across the company.\nWorking with the latest technology nodes and EDA Tool Suite offerings from Synopsys, Cadence and Mentor.\nEssential Qualifications and Expertise:\nA university degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a similar subject.\nKnowledge of digital hardware and some hardware description language (VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog).\nKnowledge of Physical Implementation flow from RTL through Synthesis, Place & Route, LEC and STA.\nIn depth understanding and hands-on experience in balancing trade-offs for PPA.\nAbility to plan/make estimates and timeline for physical implementation related activities.\nA high level of pro-activity, initiative and problem solving skills.\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nUnderstanding of low power build features and techniques, including clock and power gating, voltage/frequency scaling, memory/logic retention.\nExperience in scripting flows using combination of Python, TCL, Bash and MAKE.\nExperience in RTL simulation and verification.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nKnowledge of machine learning / AI fundamentals.\nKnowledge/Interest in building AI agents for a physical implementation workflow.\nIn Return:\nAt Arm, you will join a world-class team committed to pushing boundaries and reaching ambitious goals.
