This role has significant impact in improving the engineering experience at Arm!\nThe Engineering Platform Services teams deliver the platforms, tools, and systems required to develop our software and hardware IP. In this group, the Cloudbees CI team supports Cloudbees CI (Jenkins Enterprise) used company-wide by engineers. They also provide libraries, guidelines, and standard methodologies for optimizing use of the service.\nAs a Senior Engineer at Arm, you will own technical deliveries, with responsibility from requirements through to planning, implementation, and delivery and will participate in production support and our paid on-call rota for high impact incident response.\nAt the heart of our approach is a genuine passion for improving the lives of other Engineers at Arm. We maintain a complete focus on delivering solutions aligned to business outcomes.\nResponsibilities:\nWorking hands-on with a variety of technologies, to provide an outstanding engineering experience for Arm's hardware and software engineers. The domains and areas include:\nSoftware builds and test solutions using CI/CD, binary, secret, and test management.\nDeveloping services using SaaS, cloud-based environments, and large-scale clustered compute.\nExploiting virtualisation and cloud technologies using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.\nEngineering experience - improving the daily life and efficiency of engineers across Arm.\nRequired Skills and Experience:\n4 to 8 years working experience in the DevOps field.\nDemonstrable background in Software Development and Build.\nA good understanding of the software development lifecycle!\nStrong experience with at least one programming language (Python, Groovy, Java, Golang, C, C++).\nExperience with Cloudbees CI or Jenkins Pipelines.\nContainerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD).\nExperience of Linux-based infrastructure build, provisioning, and maintenance.\nGood knowledge of Cloud services. Experience of at least one of the following: AWS (preferred), Azure, Google Cloud Platform.\nDemonstrable experience in Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet.\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nExperience working in a Platform Engineering environment. This includes a focus on developer experience and efficiency. It also involves enabling self-service access to infrastructure and systems through automation.\nExperience of Microservice Software development.\nExperience using AI-assisted tools or techniques to improve engineering efficiency, productivity, and developer workflows.\nIn Return:\nWe will provide the training and environment to excel in this role.
