Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a senior software test engineer to bolster our team and help build a successful product for edge applications. We build the SW stack from public and private components and perform regression, integration and system testing in the QA team. We also play a crucial role in the final validation of the hardware by implementing end-to-end user stories.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the test strategy and develop test plans for future Arm products.
• Define and improve the test architecture for automated testing and validation.
• Develop test cases for embedded linux systems from first power on to end-to-end use cases.
• Build validation tests for the underlying hardware acceptance.
• Cooperate with the developer teams to ensure new features are well tested.
• Participate in the release process and technical support for our partners.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Practical understanding of test design methodology and implementation.
• Experience testing complex SW products, build systems and CI pipelines.
• Confident with programming in python, shell scripting. C is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with developers and support colleagues.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

• Embedded Linux, RTOS, kernel or firmware experience.
• Understanding of HW-SW interactions, low-level SW behaviour.
• Specific experience with pytest, Yocto, GitLab.
• Knowledge of the Arm architecture and reference SW.
• Active participation in the open source community and the Arm ecosystem.

Additional Information
