We are looking for a creative and hard-working SoC Design Engineer to join the team and help develop these systems. You will join a team of dedicated engineers in Manchester and Sheffield passionate about SoC Design, as well as collaborate with multiple other groups inside of Arm to design our SoC products.\nThis is an exciting and unique initiative, where we are bringing in innovative talent and expertise from across the semiconductor industry to drive how the next generation of leading compute on Arm devices are built across the industry, opening up significant potential for the future!\nWould you like to play a key role in defining the solution growth story in Arm?\nResponsibilities:\nParticipate integrating complex IP like CPU Cluster, PCIe, DDR, and other High-Speed IO IP for SoCs.\nWrite micro-architecture specs, develop RTL, fix bugs, and run design checks.\nWork with the verification team to analyse test plans and debug design issues.\nSupport backend implementation by aiding floor planning, constraints, and timing closure.\nContribute to enhancing design methodologies used by the team.\nContribute to the improvement of design quality standards, design quality metrics and inspections across various aspects of the build process.\nGuide and support team members to ensure project success.\nAssist Project Management with activities, plans, and schedules.\nRequired Skills and Experience :\nExperience in crafting and incorporating subsystems for PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, HBM, UCIe, Ethernet\nExperience in RTL design for sophisticated SoC development using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.\nProficiency in static design checks (Lint/CDC/RDC), synthesis, timing analysis, power management, and power/clock domain crossing.\nExposure to all design stages: concept, specification, implementation, power/performance analysis, optimisation, testing, documentation, and support.\nProduce specifications and documentation for sophisticated designs.\nKnowledge of shell scripting (e.g., Tcl, Perl, Python, etc.).\n“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :\nExperience with Arm-based designs and/or Arm System Architectures\nExperience developing and integrating subsystems for PCIe, UCIe, DDR/LPDDR/HBM, Ethernet etc.\nHigh level programming experience such as C/C++ and/or assembly language programming\nExperience in embedded operating systems, device drivers, microprocessor and embedded system hardware architectures.\nOur 10x Mindset\nAt Arm, we believe progress happens when people are empowered to think bigger and push beyond what seems possible.
