Period.\nRequirements\nAbout this role\n\nAs an Embedded Engineer at Armory, you will build and own the firmware that powers mission-critical defence systems.\nYou will operate at the intersection of hardware, RF systems, sensors, power electronics, and real-time software, ensuring our systems perform reliably in high-stakes, high-interference environments.\nMust haves\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain production-grade embedded firmware using C/C++ for mission-critical systems\nBuild and optimise real-time applications on microcontrollers and embedded Linux platforms using RTOS where required\nOwn hardware-software integration across RF modules, sensors, communication interfaces, and power systems\nImplement and debug communication protocols, including SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet\nLead board bring-up activities, subsystem validation, and system-level testing\nDiagnose complex issues using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, JTAG, and other debugging tools\nImprove performance, reliability, and stability in constrained and high-interference environments\nCollaborate closely with RF, FPGA, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure cohesive architecture\nTake end-to-end ownership of firmware modules, from architecture and implementation to field validation\nBonus points for\nExperience in defence, aerospace, automotive, or other safety-critical systems\nExposure to RF systems or signal processing\nFamiliarity with high-speed interfaces (USB, PCIe, LVDS, etc.)\nExperience with firmware security, secure boot, or OTA updates\nStrong schematic-level debugging and EMI/EMC awareness\nWhat will make you successful in this role?\n\nStrong embedded systems depth\nFast, reliable hardware-software integration\nExtreme ownership and execution bias\nGetting s**t done.\nHow will we set you up for success in this role?\n\nA live project: You will jump straight into a live project as soon as you join.
