As an editor, your responsibilities will encompass a range of crucial tasks aimed at refining manuscripts to their highest potential. You'll wield your editorial prowess to meticulously review and polish manuscripts, ensuring they adhere to our quality standards.\nResponsibilities\nEdit manuscripts for content and language.\nHandle all editorial responsibilities, including developmental editing, copy editing, proofreading and copywriting across digital and print formats.\nEstablish good working relationships with authors, clients and partners.\nManage projects including liaising with stakeholders, authors, translators, editors, graphic designers, printers to ensure timely project delivery and deadlines are met.\nEvaluate book ideas and assist in the planning of new titles.\nTo ensure that the progress report for all titles within his/her responsibility is updated and reported to the stakeholder(s) as appropriate.\nWork closely with sales & marketing, logistics & warehouse, finance department to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to publishing projects.\nAny ad hoc projects as and when required and assigned.\nRequirements\nAt least 1-2 years of editorial experience\nDegree in English Language/Mass Communications/Journalism and/or Postgraduate Diploma in Education\nWell-organised, meticulous and have strong initiative\nPossess strong and proven project management skills\nAble to deliver high-quality work under demanding deadlines\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nPrior experience in educational/children/general/non-fiction publishing will be advantageous\nSkills\nWell Organised, Title Design, GIS projects, Professional Development, Content Writing and Editing, Progress Reporting, Logistics & Warehousing, Liaise With Sales and Marketing, Stakeholder Engagement, Educational Publishing, Time Management, Great communications skills, Copy Editing, Digital Copywriting, Liaising With Authors, Project Management
