You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.\nIn this role, the Process Engineerwill be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to increase efficiency. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production teams, to ensure that manufacturing systems are effective and meet the company's production goals.\nKey Accountabilities\nProcess Design and Improvement:\nDevelop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing processes with a strong emphasis on Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DFMA), ensuring ease of production and assembly efficiency.\nConduct Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs) to proactively identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes.\nDesign and implement streamlined process flows and optimized layout strategies to enhance production efficiency.\nAnalyse production workflows to identify and implement standardisation initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities.\nProduction Support:\nDevelop standardized work instructions and best practices.\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.\nQuality Control:\nDevelop and implement robust quality control systems and standards to uphold product integrity and compliance.\nDrive the effective deployment of the 8D problem-solving methodology to conduct thorough root cause analysis of quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.\nCollaborate closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.\nManage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process to address defects and implement corrective and preventive action.\nEquipment and Tooling:\nSpecify, select, and oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment.\nInvestigate new tooling and fixtures required to improve the manufacturing processes.\nImplement lean methodologies and modular build strategies to optimise manufacturing efficiency.\nCost Reduction:\nImplement Lean Six Sigma to minimise waste and improve operations.\nAnalyse build costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.\nWork with procurement and supply chain teams to optimise material usage and reduce waste.\nDocumentation and Reporting:\nDevelop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, control plans, and process flow diagrams to ensure and adherence to best practices.\nGenerate detailed reports on manufacturing performance, to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.\nEnsure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all process modifications, changes, and improvements within BOM structure and routing system, maintaining full traceability.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nTo thrive in this role, you should bring:\nAbility to develop and implement visual standards, SOPs, and training programs.\nSubstantial experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a similar role ideally within process plant, HVAC.\nBOM generation experience preferred.\nStrong knowledge in DFMA, PFMEAs, control plans, and process standardisation.\nExtensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and trade disciplines, particularly in modular builds.\nExperience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in low-volume, high-value production environments.\nSkilled in structured problem-solving (8D methodology) and quality management.\nAbility to develop and implement visual standards, SOPs, and training programs.\nStrong project management, organisational, and teamwork skills.\nProven ability to manage BOM structures, routing systems, and NCRs for continuous quality improvement.\nWhy Armstrong Fluid Technology?\nBy joining us, you’ll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology.
