activities for electricals while supporting collaboratively with Category Managers and other Commodity Managers within the Global Category Sourcing division.This role will be based out of the Shanghai Plant.\nKey Accountabilities\n[Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies]\nDevelop category-specific sourcing strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.\nAnalyze current supplier landscape, capacity, capability, and competitiveness to support category strategy development.\nDevelop and implement sustainable supplier and category strategies that align with business needs.\nConduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure cost competitiveness.\nIdentify cost drivers and create category-specific cost models.\nLead global cost reduction initiatives and ensure compliance with sourcing best practices.\n[Optimize Supplier Management & Performance]\nManage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.\nConduct regular supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nEvaluate new suppliers and supplier capabilities to support new product development and business needs.\nEnsure full compliance with governance processes related to supplier selection, cost evaluation, and approval workflows.\nIdentify risks in supplier, commodity, and procurement markets and develop risk-mitigation plans.\n[Support New Product Development & Value Stream]\nIdentify and qualify new suppliers for new parts and products.\nObtain necessary codes and manage raw material costs for new product development.\nNegotiate supplier costs to align with target pricing.\nParticipate in quarterly program increment meetings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support sourcing decisions.\nOrder and track sample parts for PPAP and FAI approval processes.\nMaintain JIRA for assigned tasks and manage dependencies with other teams.\n[Execute Sourcing & Cost Management]\nLead execution of RFx processes (Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal) to support sourcing initiatives.\nFollow up with suppliers and evaluate quotes based on cost, quality, and lead time.\nNegotiate pricing and create Total Cost Models for review by leadership.\nDevelop and upload mass update files for supplier pricing and lead time changes.\nMonitor commodity prices and evaluate cost impact on supplier agreements\n[Conduct Contract Negotiation and Management]\nManage Master Supplier Agreements, ensuring regular updates and compliance with business needs.\nNegotiate inventory stocking program agreements based on commodity indexing.\nCoordinate supplier contract reviews, ensuring legal and financial approvals.\nConduct quarterly business reviews with key strategic suppliers, involving cross-functional teams.\nFacilitate NDA execution with new and existing suppliers.\n[Support Sourcing Process Improvement & Project Management Initiatives]\nDevelop and maintain sourcing policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance.\nEstablish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sourcing and supplier performance.\nContinuously improve sourcing methodologies and cost models.\nParticipate in project meetings to define scope and objectives.\nManage sourcing projects from initiation to completion, tracking milestones and deliverables.\nProvide regular updates and reporting to management and stakeholders.\nProvide training and documentation for sourcing processes and best practices.\nSupport cross-functional teams with process mapping and workflow enhancements.\n[Handle Ad-Hoc Requests & Urgent Issues]\nAddress urgent sourcing needs related to material shortages, price increases, or supplier non-performance.\nInvestigate and resolve repetitive non-conformances and rejected parts.\nAct as a point of escalation for critical supply chain disruptions.\nSupport urgent sourcing identification to prevent production downtime.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nTo thrive in this role, you should bring:\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in electrical or engineering, or equivalent working experience\nCollege Diploma in Supply Chain Management considered an asset\nSupply chain Management Certification (SCMP), Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification, or Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) certification considered a strong asset\nMinimum five years’ experience in procurement and category in industrial/electrical sectors\nMinimum three years’ experience in global sourcing and category management\nDirect experience with high-impact electrical commodities, such as motor, panel, PLC, PCBA, etc. deep understanding of raw material related.\nShould have experience in identifying and qualifying electrical suppliers, Asia-China and global base\nHands-on experience\nDemonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in multi-site settings, including an international supply chain environment\nHands-on experience developing and implementing best practices specific to cost management, supplier management, and risk mitigation\nTechnical Skills\nExceptional data analytic capabilities\nHigh-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.\nSelf-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English\nStrong understanding and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically in an industrial manufacturing setting\nSoft Skills\nStrong interpersonal skills and proven people-management experience\nSound knowledge and
