You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.\nThe Senior Software Developer - Internet of Things (IoT), is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and reliable IoT solutions that integrate with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. They will be responsible for designing and implementing key IoT systems.\nThis position is in Toronto, Canada with possible travel to our global operations in the USA, UK, Continental Europe, India, and China.\nIn addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:\nKey Accountabilities:\nDesign and implement end-to-end IoT solutions using AWS or Azure cloud platforms.\nDesign and implement fault-tolerant systems and services that run at large scales and high availability guarantees.\nActively participate in the design and implementation of IoT devices, edge devices and cloud infrastructure.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design documents.\nCollaborate with cross-functional experts, including software development, data analytics, and cybersecurity teams, to deliver IoT solutions.\nKeep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in IoT and cloud platforms.\nMentor other developers in software development best practices and processes.\nAdvise the leadership team on technical direction.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nTo thrive in this role, you should bring:\nRole Requirements\nEducation\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.\nAWS and/or Azure certifications considered a plus.\nExperience\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing secure and scalable IoT solutions preferably in an industrial setting.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in AI software development.\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in software development.\nSkills:\nModern design patterns and microservice based architectures.\nAI driven software development.\nContainers, Kubernetes, message queues and all other related technologies.\nTest Driven Development\nAbility to match deep technology value with potential business value and partners.\nAbility to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations.\nStrong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including IoT services and features.\nFamiliarity with IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP and HTTP.\nExperience with edge computing technologies and protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, BACnet, and CAN bus.\nKnowledgeable about Containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.\nExpertise in microservices serverless architectures.\nWhy Armstrong Fluid Technology?\nBy joining us, you’ll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology.
