This role will be responsible for the execution of all the Procurement activities at Aro Homes and building lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships with our external partners.\nAs Procurement Specialist, you will own the day-to-day procurement operations within the Materials Department. This role will ensure timely and accurate purchasing through supply/demand planning, data management, inventory replenishment, and smooth communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers. You will serve as the tactical backbone of the department, executing the plans and strategies developed by the Procurement Materials Manager.\nIn this important role, you will be the cross-functional partner supporting a broad range of critical business processes. You’ll lead an inventory replenishment roadmap focused on making us more efficient and effective in achieving current objectives and preparing for future initiatives. A successful candidate will be highly organized, technically nimble, and obsessed with automation and the customer experience.\nThis position requires being 100% onsite at the Manufacturing Plant in Sacramento, CA.\nWhat you'll do:\nExecute daily purchase orders, order confirmations, and follow-ups with suppliers.\n\nMaintain accurate data within ERP systems (NetSuite) for orders, lead times, pricing, and delivery status.\n\nMonitor and track inventory levels, triggering reorders based on established thresholds.\n\nExpedite and resolve order issues such as late deliveries, shortages, and quality discrepancies.\n\nSupport vendor onboarding, compliance checks, and documentation management.\n\nGenerate routine reports and maintain procurement dashboards (open orders, delivery status, spend analysis).\n\nCollaborate closely with Operations, Plant, Design, and Site teams to ensure material availability and responsiveness.\n\nServe as first point of contact for tactical procurement issues before escalating to the Materials Manager.\n\nCommunicate regularly with stakeholders about procurement status, potential delays, or changes in material supply.\n\nEnsure that all procured materials meet project specifications, quality standards, and compliance regulations.\n\nIdentify and mitigate risks associated with material shortages, price fluctuations, and supplier reliability.\n\nWork closely with quality control, inventory management, and design teams to address any material defects, discrepancies, or issues.\n\nThis position requires working in a plant environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and other industrial conditions.\n\nThis role may involve physical activity, including lifting, carrying, standing, and moving materials as part of daily responsibilities.\n\nCoordinate directly with plant personnel to align procurement with production schedules.\n\nFlexibility is needed to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.\n\nOccasionally require visiting vendors or suppliers to pick up materials or resolve urgent needs.\n\nWhat you'll bring:\n2+ years’ experience in Procurement.\n\nExperience with NetSuite software.\n\nUnderstanding of accounting fundamentals.\n\nFamiliarity with inventory management practices.\n\nInnovative thinker willing to take smart risks and try new approaches.\n\nStrong analytical capabilities.\n\nEntrepreneurial experience.\n\nThinking outside the box, non-traditional.\n\nExcellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.\n\nAble to build motivated, capable, and engaged teams.\n\nBias for action.\n\nWhat we offer:\nOpportunity to join an outstanding start-up team and grow a company from the ground up.\n\nCompetitive salary package.\n\nMedical/dental/vision benefits.\n\nEquity in the company.\n\nAt Aro Homes, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
