This role is the technical bridge between the runtime, kernel/platform, silicon vendors, and application teams, and is responsible for packaging, bring-up, low-level debugging, and cross platform enablement of accelerator support.\nBSP integration of the AI/ML runtime - integrate the accelerator runtime and inference libraries into the embedded Linux image.\nYocto/OpenEmbedded recipe development and maintenance - author and maintain recipes, packagegroups, and layer configuration.\nCross-team and vendor coordination - drive integration across the kernel/platform, silicon/BSP, runtime, and application teams; collaborate with NXP Restricted silicon and runtime vendors, track release cadences, and file precise, reproducible defect reports that drive upstream fixes.\nCross-functional debugging - when an issue spans layers (e.g., a fault that could originate in a recipe, driver, or silicon), own the investigation, isolate the responsible layer, and hand each team an actionable, evidence backed writeup.\nCross-platform enablement - unify the runtime across multiple SoC/BSP targets, minimizing per-platform forks in favor of a shared, modular layer.\nQualifications\n2+ years of hands-on experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded (BitBake, layers, classes, packagegroups, etc.).\nStrong C (kernel and native), plus shell and Python; comfortable with C++ runtime libraries.\nExperience with AI/ML inference runtimes and accelerators (NPU/GPU).\nStrong understanding of multi-core application SoCs: CPU clusters, interconnect/NoC fabric, memory map and address decoding, clocks/resets/power domains, and cache coherency.\nHands-on accelerator and peripheral bring-up and debugging, with proven experience debugging the full host-to-accelerator data path (NPU/GPU/DSP).\nHardware and board debugging: serial console, dmesg, gdb, and Lauterbach \nLocation: Bucharest\nWork arrangement: Hybrid, requiring presence at the client's office 2-3 days per week\nBenefits\nCompetitive compensation; \nStock Option Plan for shares at the most significant technology company publicly listed on the Bucharest Stock Market. \nPrivate health insurance through Groupama, with access to Regina Maria’s nationwide healthcare network and additional benefits; \nOpportunity to work on challenging projects (automotive/travel/life science/iOT) using the latest technologies; \nInternal Training and Discipline-specific Events; \nCompany-supported exams and certifications for professional growth; \nA well-defined career path (and subscriptions for Pluralsight and Bookster) \nAn experienced, friendly, highly team-oriented environment; \nTeam building activities; \nCommunity involvement activities; \nCompany Overview\nCareers at AROBS: join #MoreThanJustATeam.
