You'll be responsible, end-to-end, for making sure we solve customers' real-world problems, from configuring Cobalt in customer environments and integrating with customer hardware and software, to managing edge deployments and cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with users to ensure our systems are deployed effectively, safely, and with maximum operational impact.\nThis role requires significant travel, often in challenging environments, whether in the field alongside users or embedded with teams in military HQs. You will need to be adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working under pressure. You will need to understand both technical systems and operational realities, and be able to quickly navigate new technical domains as required. Arondite’s deployment strategists also help to shape our product offering, working closely with core product managers to translate lessons from deployments into product improvements, prioritise customer needs, and ensure Cobalt continues to deliver meaningful operational value.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nEngaging with users to map workflows, pain points, and operational constraints\nIdentifying and framing customer problems that align with our product vision for Cobalt\nConfiguring Cobalt in customer environments and ensuring deployments are reliable, usable, and operationally relevant\nIntegrating with tactical assets, sensors, data feeds, and customer systems in field and HQ environments\nUtilising edge deployments and cloud infrastructure to deliver capability where users need it\nCollaborating with customers to prioritise the highest-value problems to solve\nDesigning and guiding iterative delivery plans that alleviate user pain and demonstrate value quickly\nActing as the bridge between users, product, and engineering to ensure solutions remain aligned with operational realities\nContinuously refining priorities with customers to ensure adoption and measurable impact\nChampioning a user-centric approach across the deployment and wider company\nRequirements\nArondite aims to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds and with different perspectives. Please apply even if you only partially fulfil the following lists.\nYou should have:\nTechnical proficiency: a strong technical foundation and the ability to quickly pick up new domains across systems integration, networking, Linux, cloud infrastructure, edge deployments, or software engineering\nConfidence navigating technical complexity in customer environments, even where you may not know every tool or system on day one\nStrong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills\nIndependent decision-making under pressure\nWillingness to travel and work on-site with customers for a significant proportion of your time\nAbility to hold UK security clearance\nIdeally, you would also have:\nExperience in defence or defence technology\nExperience with containerisation, cloud platforms such as AWS, or infrastructure-as-code\nFamiliarity with tactical data systems, sensor integration, C2 environments, or other operational systems\nComfort working in command-line environments and debugging distributed systems\nExperience with SQL, databases, data pipelines, or analytics workflows\nDeployed work at Arondite\nAll 'deployed' roles at Arondite involve working closely with customers at their UK locations, and when they go abroad. This can mean being away from our office for between 1 and 4 days a week on a regular basis, or going abroad for up to 2 or 3 weeks every few months. As this is a big commitment, we endeavour to maintain flexibility in resourcing to support people's personal circumstances.\nRight to Work\nWe require that all candidates have an existing Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.\nSecurity clearance\nWe believe in working closely with defence customers. As a result, this role requires undergoing UK security vetting to Security Check (SC) or above. This normally requires having continuous residency in the UK for at least 5 years.\nOffice vs Hybrid working\nWe are focused on building a positive, collaborative engineering-driven culture. Of course, there are times when it makes sense for you to work from home and that's OK. As a Deployment Strategist you will also need to travel to visit customers.
