We hire the best people and give them extremely high levels of autonomy; the sky is the limit for an individual with the right ambition.\nIf you are motivated by our mission and if you want to be part of a growing team of outstanding people, then we want to hear from you.\nAbout the role\nYou will be driving the development of software to enable autonomous systems to collaborate, process large sensor datasets, and build graphical user interfaces that involve the presentation of complex information in an intuitive way to enable tasking and control of multiple assets.\nYou will be expected to write high quality code that will drive the planning and execution of operations in mission-critical environments. You will iterate closely with end users to rapidly add and improve the most relevant features to support their priorities - this may sometimes involve working outdoors and at other sites.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nDesigning, building, and testing the core software platforms and user interfaces at Arondite\nIterating with customers and users to better understand and implement their requirements\nInterfacing with and testing autonomous and robotic systems in the field\nCollaborating with engineers with diverse skill sets, including AI/ML, networking, and robotics\nDriving a culture of excellence within the engineering team and the wider company\nRequirements\nWe are open to candidates of all levels of experience, from new-grads looking to start their career with a bang, to senior engineers looking to be a high-value IC or lead a team.\nWe are looking for engineers across the development stack, from frontend UX experts who delight in producing a polished and beautiful experience, to networking maestros who understand and optimise the complex topology required to support our platform (and everything in-between).\nArondite aims to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds and with different perspectives. Please apply even if you only partially fulfil the following lists.\nYou should have:\nA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical/scientific subject (or equivalent experience)\nStrong core programming skills in either\nServer-side languages such as C++, Java, Rust or Python, OR\nFront-end development in TypeScript or JavaScript, using frameworks such as Angular or React\nA deep enthusiasm for expanding your knowledge of a diverse technology stack\nIdeally, you would also have:\nThis is not an additional list of requirements; this reflects the tech stack currently used at Arondite; any experience in these areas is a bonus\nUnderstanding of working on embedded / resource constrained devices\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes\nExperience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL\nExperience of machine learning applications\nExperience with frontend mapping frameworks (e.g., Cesium, Mapbox, Leaflet)\nKnowledge of application security best practices and secure coding principles (e.g., OWASP Top 10)\nRight to Work\nWe require that all candidates have an existing Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.\nSecurity clearance\nWe believe in working closely with defence customers. As a result, this role will require the individual to hold a clearance or be willing to undergo UK security vetting to Security Check (SC) or above.
