We are seeking a Commodity Manager to join our Asia Center of Excellence. This role owns the full lifecycle of sourced categories - from strategic sourcing and supplier development, through order execution and delivery, to ongoing operations and data-driven performance optimization. The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering foundation, deep metal manufacturing domain knowledge, and advanced analytics capabilities.\nKey Job Responsibilities:\nStrategic Sourcing\nLead end-to-end strategic sourcing for assigned metal/steel and fabricated component categories; develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives. \nConduct should-cost analysis, build cost curves, and perform market analysis to strengthen negotiation positions and identify the best suppliers. \nManage RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contracting; develop and maintain a qualified supplier base for metal fabrication and industrial materials. \nOrder Execution & Delivery Management\nOwn purchase order execution: ensure accurate and timely order placement, confirmation, and tracking from PO issue through delivery; manage order changes and expediting as needed. \nCoordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of materials; resolve delivery issues and drive root-cause corrective actions. \nManage inventory levels and replenishment for assigned categories; balance cost, lead time, and service level targets. \nOperations & Analytics\nDrive operational excellence: establish and optimize procurement processes, SOPs, and system workflows; identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency. \nLead data analytics and reporting: extract, clean, and analyze data from SAP and other systems; build automated dashboards (Power BI / Tableau) for spend, supplier performance, delivery, and cost KPIs. \nOversee supplier performance management - quality, delivery, cost, and service - with regular reviews and structured improvement plans. \nLead continuous improvement and cost-saving projects using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies; track and report savings delivery to stakeholders. \nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, or related field). \n10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain operations within metal manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industry. \nStrong engineering acumen: ability to read technical drawings, understand manufacturing processes, material science, and metal fabrication specifications. \nAdvanced data analytics: proven experience analyzing large datasets from ERP systems; proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for automated dashboards and reporting. \nDeep hands-on experience with SAP MM module and procurement processes; familiarity with system integration and process automation. \nDemonstrated track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and delivering measurable cost savings. \nExperience with end-to-end order execution, supplier management, and delivery performance improvement. \nFluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal). \nLong-term Shanghai residency or willingness to relocate permanently. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nCPSM certification or equivalent; Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or above. \nCategory management experience in metal commodities, fabricated structures, or solar tracking / capital equipment manufacturing. \nExperience in a multinational manufacturing environment with global supply chain exposure. \nTrack record of driving digital transformation and procurement automation initiatives. \nLogistics and 3PL management experience across multiple trade lanes. \nWhat We Offer:\nArray Technologies, Inc. offers equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, gender, age, creed, sex, religion, national origin, disability, marital status, citizenship, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other legally protected status.
