This role requires exceptional machining skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings. The Toolmaker ensures tooling is produced to exact specifications, supports production efficiency, and contributes to continuous improvement across the facility.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManufacture, assemble, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications.\n\nSet up and operate manual and CNC machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, EDM machines, and surface grinders.\n\nPerform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools to ensure tight tolerances.\n\nDiagnose and troubleshoot tooling issues affecting production; implement corrective actions or improvements.\n\nCollaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure tooling supports manufacturing goals.\n\nConduct preventative maintenance on tooling to reduce downtime and extend tool life.\n\nDocument tooling changes, repairs, and revisions in accordance with company standards.\n\nEnsure work is completed safely and in compliance with quality and safety standards.\n\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Tool & Die or Toolmaking apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.\n\n3+ years of experience in toolmaking and precision machining.\n\nProficiency in manual machining and operation of CNC equipment.\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical blueprints, GD&T, and CAD drawings.\n\nStrong understanding of materials, heat treatment processes, tolerances, and machining principles.\n\nExcellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude.\n\nWillingness to work off hours to resolve issues when production is down.\n\nSolidWorks Experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, etc.).\n\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.\n\nExperience in stamping.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to [40] pounds.\n\nManual dexterity and precision handling small components and tools.\n\nVisual acuity for close inspection and measurement.\n\nAt Array Tech, Inc., we strive to lead with our culture, and believe that our people are a key enabler of our future state.
